Lord of the Rings. Can't get enough out of it |
| |
| Me in my brother watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy yesterday just at home. I'm surprise that there were a lot of cut scenes in the theater while viewing it in DVD. I was shock that I haven't seen this parts like how the corsair ships of the mercenaries got boarded by the ghosts army, Gandalf and the Witch King Face 2 Face, What happened to the Uro-Khais when they entered the Forest in retreat and etc. If I could calculate the cut scenes, it is around 2 hours cut. No joke. It was really indeed the longest movie I've ever watch. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King alone stands for 4 hrs and 3 min without credits. ^^ | | | | | |

| | Nykel88, wow.....lord of the rings movie is so long and sometimes tiring but if you have been following the story from the beginning then you'll want to know what the trilogy was all about, i love the movie but got tired with it because i couldn't sit on a sit for long watching movie instead i'll prefer sports, anyway for lord of the rings, you'll never stop getting enough of it...you'll want to go on and on and on, have fun. | | | | | | |

| | Yes its very long but I do like their action scenes because it is good. The trilogy totals 11 hours. It took us an entire day to watch it. Lol It is all good. I hope more movies like this still comes.. as what I've seen already more bad and cheap movies are developing.. only their trailers gives them an awe. Anyways LOTR is the best movie ever. ^^ | | | |

| | It's a fact there were lot of scenes that were cut while showing in theater because they wanted to have 4 shows a day and to do it in allocated time, so lengthy movies like Lord of rings is better seen in DVD to watch the full movie... | | | | | | |

| | I loved the LOTR trilogy it was some great film making. I've seen the theatrical version but never the never the version with everything restored. It doesn't surprise me it was cut down because movie stoudios often do that with movies. That's why sometimes in a movie a scene feels like something has been left out. BTW you should check out the books by J. R. R. Tolkien. The books give you a lot that the movies didn't. | | | | | | |

| | I also own the extended version of LOTR, and prefer the longer version. When I saw the theatre release, it was amazing how many comments I heard from the audience leaving the theatre, "it was good, but too long...", and that was the shorter version!! There are SO many great scenes that were left on the cutting floor, I'm grateful they restored them in the extended DVD... | | | | | | |

| | Long yes int theaters but much more in the DVD. I can't imagine it more than 3 - 4 hours max to one movie not including the credits. It truly is an epic movie. One that will remind me and tell my grandchildren if I get old lol. ^^ | | | |

| | We didn't see the movie Lord of the Ring trilogy at the theater. My granddaughter is a real big fan so we bought the box set for her for Christmas a few years ago. It does need to be watched more than once to get the whole story down. For my self I like to watch the special affects of these movies. It is remarkable how so many of the fantasy movies are made. Sometimes they are better than the movie. | | | | | | |

| | I'm a big fan of Lord of the Rings and I watch the trilogy in the theater and in dvd and yes there were scenes that wasn't shown in the theaters. I kind of like watching movies that have elves, dwarfs or orcs but in LOTR you can watch all of them in one movie (reminds me of playing Lineage 2). Im always a big fan of big fight scenes and LOTR has two of them, in Two Towers (at Helms Deep) and Return of the King (outside Minas Tirith). The battles were amazing, never made the film drag, and the fight scenes it always heightens the tension. Some important characters though were background characters like Arwen(I wish I could see her fight) who just sat around and waited for Aragorn. Anyway other than that with its CGI and level of detailing which is very believable, acting and sound which is perfect Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of the great films of all time. | | | | | | |
