My best friend has a girl friend..  

You are in a tough position and I think if you told him how you feel he won't think you have feelings for him (guys can be dense like that) but the girlfriend probably will. Here is the thing about the whole girl"friend"/guy"friend" relationship, it wont ever truly be the same when one of you are in a relationship unless you can be equally as close to their partner. Sad but true. I have one guy friend and I have been friends with him for 10 years and mostly he has been a "playa" which has allowed us to continue to stay friends. He has had 2 relationships in those 10 years and I was close to both chicks and they were awesome and they got that I was no threat. Him and I have never dated nor been slightly interested in eachother except we kissed twice (once was to save his life kinda and the other he showed me how great of a kisser he was) both were total b.s. and meant and felt nothing. Now he has this chick who is a complete and utter b!&+# and tulsa spelled backwards and he "loves her". I hadn't seen him in months and I went to this bbq at his house and she yelled at him and was so hatefull to him but was great to me. They disappeared into the room and I get a text from him saying I have to leave. Apparently she thinks we have messed around and were doing so that night all because my husband got stuck at work. Now I love him so much and have backed off so he can be with this girl but it wont be the same til she's gone. I made sure my husband knew in advance that not accepting this friend is a deal breaker but guys can't have the same loyalty to their girl"friends" without upsetting their girlfriends. Guys and girls can be just friends until other guys and girls get involved. If you want to keep him you gotta get the girlfriend on your side but keep your loyalty to him, and it may be even harder for you because if she knows about those 4 months well you might as well have been married to him in her eyes. I hope to God your guys gf is better than mine.

i think u have to wait for the time when he realizes that after all you are his best friend.. i can ensure you tha you are still in love with her.. and he is too in love with you.. that is why he is trying to jealous you so that you will admit that you love him.. so dont get hesitate.. let him know that you are not pleased with his relation with any one else.. tell him that you are his best friend.. and we always spent time together.. but now he is ignoring you just because of an other girl.. let him realize..

great job of fooling yourself that you do not care for him, you are in love with him, and he has a girl friend, now if you tell him all of what you have said here he will think one of two things. you are trying to break up the ties between him and the girl, or you are in love and dont know how to handle it. just listen to what you wrote, theres no way you just want him as a friend again,you want him for you.you just are not admitting it to yourself.Be honest with yourself first then go from there. even telling him the truth might help as it could clear things with you two one way or the other. good luck and God bless.

I know how hard it is and how bad it feels..The inner heart cries when you cannot tell the one you love..I also have the same problem. The exact problem as yours.. But we remained as best friend cuz she luvs another guy and i dont want to be trouble for them.. i just want to see her happy..

I think you like him a lot because we say that when something is gone then only we tend to realize its importance so as for you so far you did not bother at all because he was there for you but once you saw and noticed that he is drifting apart and going to a girl then you feel hurt so this is natural when someone goes like this.Meet him and tell him everything you want to, you will feel better.

I'm not sure that I would tell him how I was feeling on this one. I mean, he has every right to have a girlfriend and as you mentioned, you have a boyfriend. It is true that if he now has a girlfriend, he probably will have less time for you. Still if he is as close a friend as you say then he will still make time for you. I think if he were my best friend, I would feel happy for him and try to get to know his girlfriend so that maybe we could all hang out together.
