I am so sorry that your Mother died so soon.

What happened to her friend if you do not mind me asking?

Well my Mother is living, but sadly very far away from me.

And I can't see her, let alone talk on the phone, I have only a few minutes every month on this phone and it is used for doctors.

So my friend, yes I also feel anyone is blessed to have and be near their Mother.

I truly hope the day was good for you.

My foster mom died in 2007. My real mother is alive, though we aren't close. We've had a bad relationship my whole life, which is why I had a foster mom. Won't get into details, it's pretty sad most of it. I did go see her on Friday.. but I do not consider myself lucky to still have her around. I'd rather have my foster mom!

My husband lost his mother back in March, and Mother's day was hard for him, even though he hasn't been able to do much for his mom in the past years. May is too difficult of a month for us with our wedding anniversary this past Friday, and my birthday coming up Wednesday, and my oldest son's birthday this Thursday.

Wow! That is tough. My mom died back in the late nineties due to cancer. I think of her on that day. And my grandmother who was like a mother to me. I had a nice day spent by myself partly. Hope everyone on here did as well.

I am blessed to have my mother with me still. She is undergoing some health issues that make me wonder how long I will have her. It makes me sad when I think of how vibrant she used to be. But I don't care. I'll take her any way I can get her. I love her no matter what. She spent so long taking care of my sister, me, and my dad. If I need to help take care of her for the remainder of her life, than it is my privilege.

My Mom died last September so her passing is still fresh in my memory. I can relate about being a child though as my Dad died a few weeks short of my 5th Birthday. So @ 33 I am w/o a parent. But on the bright side my Aunt (my Mom's sister) who's always been like a 2nd Mother to me (& my Grandmother was my 3rd Mother!) has really stepped up even moreso with wanting to do more with my kids and act as their surrogate grandmother on my side of things. Wich is awsome! As she's always had more interest in them than his parents or my Mother did at spending time with them. I do need to get over to my Mother's grave and see how it's looking and have a chat with her... but I fear I'd have to have hubby drive as I might get a lil too emotional to drive.

Hi cream! Yes, my mother is still alive but she lives very far away so I don't get to spend the day with her on Mother's Day. Since I can't, I like to surprise her with something that says how special she is to me. This year I sent her an antique necklace with a clasp I know she'll be able to operate. I hope you had a great Mother's Day, too.

sorry to hear about losing your mum at such a young age. i'm sure she has been looking down over you all your life helping u, when you need it and being there in spirit.
ok i'm very lucky, my mum lives only just round the corner from me. this year i was able to spend more time with her, and i got to spend more time with my son.

I was thirteen when my mother died on May 4, a couple weeks before Mother's Day. I had made a wooden giraffe in wood shop that year for her and never got a chance to give it to her. I ended up giving it to my oldest daughter because she likes giraffes. And ironically my youngest son was born, 26 years later on the same date, which means I'll never forget when she died..I do miss her, but I do have my children who are a blessing to me and I enjoy them and happy to be here for them..

hi cream oh I missed my mom so much when she died and felt so bad as she got Alzenheimer disease and at the last she did not recognize me and it hurt me in both ways,knowing she did not know her own daughter and in seeing her confusion as she knew she should have known me. that hurt too as we were always so close. So then I was in my sixties now I am in my eighties and my son is fifty. He wished me an early Happy Mothers day Saturday night and spent some time with me too. that was the best gift and today all us moms here got two long stemmed roses.Happy Mother's day cream and good luck.
