when the father wants to settle down and the mother doesn't

what do you think of this situation?
the girl just went out with the new guy for a couple of months. she has not given herself before to any of her boyfriends in the past. but this time, she thought he is the one. his descriptions fit perfectly to the one she has prayed for so she thinks he is right for him. though the relationship had its hang ups at first, she thought everything will be alright once they have had s*xual relations.
but that one fateful encounter that they had had become fruitful and she had gotten pregnant. however, instead of improving, the relationship got worse. the woman decided to call it quits and decided to face her family and everyone else with her condition. she bravely told her family alone and handled the burden of pregnancy for 9 months until she gave birth. she is now taking care of the baby.
the dad is showing up once in a while but has no sense of responsbility. he is like a regular visitor only.
what do you think of this situation?

I see the guy has not matured and is just there to see his child growing. I think that would be the best arrangement at the moment since I see no maturity from both of them but more especially with the guy. I think putting them together by forcing them to be married would create more problem than solution.

hi spoiled311 what do I think, I think the father is a jerk and should be forced to pay child support that's what I think, it is his baby too and his damned responsibility too.He had better get himself in gear and
start paying child support at once. I have no respect at all for a man
who fathers a baby then runs off.He is the child's father so he should behave himself and act like one.
