Maybe Jane can be changed to Jane Vee. Though I don't see how grapevines will help the situation any. Teetotallers (sp?) and wine do not mix!

Someone needs to come swinging in on a Redgage vine. I will have to consult Mizz Scheng on this one. Perhaps she knows just the writing action hero to save the day so Miss Slow Fingers can get busy typing and adding links!

I've been a member of Helium for about three months now and still don't understand the way it works. I know I've made some money but I am just not sure how I came by it! I'll take a look out for this new feature though - thanks!

Maybe I will try the title to one of your AC articles. If you got a friend request from that Jane person, she's in my friend list too (wink).

I just added a link today for ESY NOLA and I would wager real money no one else has one so that is one way to find me. Scheng is in my friend's list so if you find me you will find her.

I think the search in Redgage is case sensitive.
My id there is scheng1, all small caps. Talking about that Jane person, you will recognize her by the smell of the cave, or the sound of banging head onto the wall! If you receive an invite from that Jane person to stay in her cave, please consider and re-consider. Go at your own risk.

Scheng, that case sensitive may have been the problem with your name. Anyway, I got lucky and you (and everyone else) has been finding me. At some point, I will need to find others, but I am ignoring that for the moment!

Thanks for your tips about the photos (like Helium logo) too. I think you are right. It doesn't add anything to my article.

MommaJ, I always want to find you. I can't find anyone! I actually didn't realize you were over there until I saw you listed on my wall, and then I wasn't even sure it was you because you used "Jane."

Even Scheng gave me a bad time about not finding anyone. She was teasing me, saying "ok MommaJ found me, what's wrong with you?" Trust me, you are not the only one getting knocked in the head. Soon, I'll be in the next cave over. LOL

I already live near the swamp, I am not trying to be banished to a cave with a bunch of crazy ghosts.

I don't know about finding anyone else but I get a few friend requests every day on Redgage! I don't know if people are treating it like AC hoping that having friends and leaving comments will make a difference, but I am primarily concerned with keeping up with you guys.

Well, that and increasing my SERP.

Canellita, I think getting comments on redgage and earning page views is a lot of give and take. People only continue commenting if you comment on theirs. Everybody is after the same thing so it is only fair to do a give and take. as far as living near a swamp, I guess I can send you a recipe for alligator stew.

As long as people continue to give I don't mind giving back. I can comment til the cows come home at Gather and AC and it doesn't mean anyone will comment back.

Well, you would have to have a following of readers who like to share your writing with their friends.

I hit the like button on a couple of my articles but now I use the share on facebook option on the browser toolbar. (Google Chrome) This way I can my articles myself and people I know will see them on my wall. I have seen a small increase in traffic from doing this.

The Zone area on Helium is something completely different. I am a Helium Channel Steward.

I use twitter to promote my articles and found that helpful to increase my income.

Now I have a problem to leapfrog one of my articles. Everytime I pasted and submited the system led me to the webpage saying like that:
Page Not Available

The link you used is outdated.
The Web address you entered is incorrect.
The page you want no longer exists.
Technical difficulties are preventing us from displaying the page (even machines have bad days)

I emailed many times with their help but their answers were not helpful. I did what they suggested, but same result. So frustrated.

First, go to the hobbies and games channel and send me a note so I know who you are on Helium.

Next, I would say don't give up; I've had all kinds of issues posting articles and sometimes the problem is just too much internet traffic.

You can check the forum or Helium's blog for potential solutions to posting problems and you can email the full article to the help desk to see if they can post the leap for you.

I had a problem with a very long article a few months back that had a lot of links in it. When I used the past from word feature there would be bits of text missing throughout the article. It drove me nuts! There was no way I was going to redo the entire thing manually so I posted it and then sent them the entire article and they fixed it for me.

Hi, after looking at your profile my advice to you is to forget leapfrogs and work on getting that fourth star. Only publish 1 competitive title for every 3 empty title so you will earn the most money for your efforts. Try to only post to competitive titles that have 50-100 articles to improve your chances of ranking higher.

If you do this for a little while you can earn the fourth star and not have to worry so much about your writing score. I'm following you now so I'll try and check on your content and see what other tips I can offer.

A lot of people stop posting new articles after the 25th of the month. If I were you I would keep posting because you'll be ahead of the game for the next month's payout and the new articles still earn performance pay and sometimes those few pennies help put you over the top.

You have three stars and the 5 rating stars show you're working at it so just keep posting and don't worry about leapfrogging for now.

Thank you very much for your help. In fact my writing score is 87.8%, to keep my three stars I want to leapfrog an article so I will not worry too much about the star lost.

I do post article after 25th of the month, as you said it can bring me income earlier.

Hi, I did get your messages. There is going to be a brief period where you will have to struggle to maintain your writing score because the more articles you have the more you need to be in the top 25%.

It is really important that you keep posting so that you amass enough articles with good placement not to have to worry about the stars and your score anymore. You still have plenty of time in this month to pull your score up again if it dips.

If for some reason you have been posting and your score starts to dip and doesn't rebound by the 20th let me know.

I thought Dangerous Beauty was a little dangerous in the way it romanticized the situation, but I couldn't help liking the two main characters. Glad you liked it.

I also got your message on helium too. then saw this reply later. I agree with you I should write articles in different topics. In fact I mainly write articles about travelling. I have a blog about the topic. I have a plan to record my life.

However due my English lever I can't catch up my travel steps so I just wrote a few of my travel experiences.

I suppose I would not worry too much about my star this month as after leapfrog the Kung Fu panda review my writing score is up to almost 90%. but I know I still have a few articles I need to improve later.

I hope I can do full time freelancer one day. Do you think when can you reach the goal?

It's tough to be a full-time freelancer for many reasons. If you can sell feature articles for real money in addition to posting articles on the passive income sites you may be able to do it.

It would take a lot of writing though I am told there are people earning $100 a day from their blogs so it's possible to write full-time. Your travel blog is a good opportunity for earning because many people travel.

Do you use adsense with it? Are you creating backlinks to your content to improve traffic and SERP? I started a travel blog also after I returned from Spain because I felt it was easier to share the photos and stories of the trip rather than repeating the experience over and over to friends who asked about it.

If you need help with your articles in English let me know. I don't always check myLot every day but I do check Helium and those messages go straight to my main email account.

A famous writer said woman need to have money and her own room to write. I agree. I like writing, but for the practical reason I need to go out home to do some work I don't like.

I have a travel blog with google adsense, but not many readers like to click the ads. I still look for a way to balance the ads and my articles.

You could go to school to get help with English but there is a lot of free help out there. You really can teach yourself just by reading and of course if you continue to network with other writers you will improve.

I do think I need going back to study English, but here it's too expensive. So I try my best to study english at my daily life.

I have economics background, maybe one day I will back to university to continue my major instead of just learning the language.

I will back to beijing for over one and half month as holiday. I decided to use the time to study English. I have two books about English Grammar that is always confuses me so I think I should use the time to study instead of wasting them on small things.
