Do movies still scare you?  

I don't like watching scary movies at all, even with the company of family or friends because my imagination can go overboard and it scares the hell out of me. My friends would laugh at me everytime we watch a movie and there are trailers of scary movies because I really cover my ears and eyes so that I can't see and listen to any of it. :)

I love a scary movie but they are so rare, aren't they? Back in the sixties and seventies we had the Hammer horror pics that were so bad, we laughed at them. Growing up in that environment has left a permanent connection between horror and comedy movies.
Today's gore flicks such as the saw series are just sick. Everything else is a "funny". I haven't had a good fright for years. I hope the new Hammer films will be much better in the future.

My best friend in high school and college LOVED scary movies! I watched them all with her, and even if they weren't really my thing, I wasn't really scared. Now that I'm old, I can't handle it. I can't even watch the ones I saw (over and over again) with my BFF thirty years ago! I can't even watch the commercials! If DH is gone for the evening, I get really timid channel surfing. Geez, I'm a wimp!

Scary movies do still scare me, and that is why I do not watch them. Ev en when they do not consciously scare me, I can just about guarantee that I will be in the movie when I dream. I make up enough weird dreams as it is without that kind of suggestion.

Absolutely, they scare me. That's why I won't go see any horror movie. I can't even watch "Ghost Whisperer" on TV and I like that program. If I do watch it I have my pillow nearby and afterward I have to watch something on the Disney Channel to make me feel safe and cozy again.

Hi, reinydwan. Yes, they still make me scared. I can't look at a movie that is very creepy. If I am alone at home, this movie will come back to haunt me. And, I will freak out thinking that the evilness of this movie will come back to get me. I really don't like looking at a movie that makes me very scared.

movies don't scare me anymore nowadays. i watch them and then carry on doing everything like nothing happened. like every other movie. you watch it and then it does not affect you at all. be well and keep lotting.

Actually,i prefer light movies i.e. movies with light comedies.But some time i am being forced to watch scary movies by the family members.I watch them but don't take by heart and hence i don't have any fear of the scary movies.

Mirrors is a really scary movie so it is normal for you to be scared but this was probably the last film which made me thrill.
Almost all the films nowadays have the same plots.I feel as there is nothing that may come as a surprice to me-they are predictable and this is not the element that may scarry me.
