Friends, many persons while thinking, bite the tongue, though unconscious of this habit, some scratch fore head, some rub the fingers, some bite the nails. For me it is closing the eyes, may be it makes me concentrate on my thoughts. What about you? Please share. Professor Bhuwan

For me it is furrowing my eyebrows. I never actually realized that I did this for a long time. However, when I was younger I was at a picnic at my father's place of work and I was working on a coloring sheet. No one really knew who I was and then amazingly, one of my father's coworkers finally determined that I was his daughter because of the fact that the way that I did my eyebrows when I was concentrating is exactly the same way that he did his own.

Hi Professor! I'm not really sure if I do anything in particular when I am thinking. I do think that I might also close my eyes when I am deep in thought and trying to remember something. I think that it also helps me to concentrate. I hate when I can't remember things. I will drive myself half crazy trying to remember something even if it is something of the least importance!

Hi Professor, While thinking I usually frown and the frown is one of a kid as people around me would come to know that I am thinking. My lips get pursed, eye brows frown causing all the hidden wrinkles to surface on my forehead. Maybe if I am tensed I shall bite nails especially of the thumbs. I can't think of anything else at this point of time maybe my friends could point out what silly little things I tend to do when I think. You have a nice day too

When I am thinking or concentrating, I will bite my upper lip or make creases in my brows. My son, chews on his tongue, which is a habit he picked up from his Dad. I think we pick up on these unconscious habits from watching those closest to us.

Whenever i'm thinking, i scratch my head. Biting the tongue though is familiar. Michael jordan always bit his tongue whenever he's going straight to the rim carrying the ball and raising it with one hand. Can you see the picture?

hi professor I don't bite my tongue but I chew on a lock of hair when I am stressed or trying to think something out. I concentrate better but its not a good habit really. My hubby when he was alive used to tease and sort of break my habit by saying does that taste good? but now i am a widow for many years and find myself still doing this habit when I am deep in thought in mylotting. My son when he visits and sees me do this will say oh my you will get a furball doing that. this stops my habit for awhile at least. lol.

I find that when I am stressed I subconsciously bit the inner sides of my mouth and chew down very hard on my teeth. It is a bad habit one I need to work on, however I find I do not realize I am doing it until after I feel the pain.

People tend to have this habit unknowingly. Most of the cases, if we tell them only they can realize. It is true. When I think of anything I close my eyes and move in my chair back forth with my fingers in the joining of my eyebrows above nose. When it is a serious thought and I am in my cabin alone I do this. I think this is my only habit.
