Rumor has it that House Speaker Boehner skipped on the opportunity to join Prs. Bush, House Minority Leader and others in Arizona for the memorial to the victims of the shooting.
Well, it might seem so on the surface, and I understand why the left was salivating over the spectre... but it just isn't true.
The fact is, The House of Representatives held a vigil to the very same victims in an auditorium underneath the Capitol Visitor's Center. It was decided that one of the House Leaders should be at each place. So House Minority Leader Pelosi went with Prs. Obama while House Speaker Boehner stayed to run the vigil in the Capital Building.
Once again... "nothing to see here", just a bunch of lefties following Obama's admonition to "come together".

Well, both parties wasn't the point. The point was for some to go to Arizona, and a vigil was held in the Capital building for those who couldn't get to Arizona. We couldn't have the whole House of Representatives in Arizona and there's no reason to expect it.
But yeah, we all did live happily ever after there, didn't we. :~D

You're right and I knew it the very next day when it was reported by, of all people, Chris Matthews. I also heard, I honestly forget from whom, that Boehner was on his way to the fundraiser when the President spoke so he apparently missed the speech. Whatever the case, it's much ado about nothing but there will always be nit-pickers looking to find fault with one side or the other.

Yup, there are far too many really juicy things to get up in arms about. Even if it was true, there's nothing there.
