Cleaning a microwave can be a bit difficult sometimes because food pops all over the inside, and drys up and sticks to the microwave walls, and its hard to get all the stuck on food off. I use a moist cloth with just a small amount of soap it dose the trick but it takes a lot of scrubbing, dose anybody here know an easier way to clean a microwave oven? Please share your cleaning techniques for this household appliance I could use some good tips thanks.

I wouldn't use pure vinegar to do that. The smell would be overwhelming. But a bowl of water brought to a boil and allowed to sit for a while with the oven door closed would soften a lot of the crud in the microwave. I don't know whether adding some vinegar would really make a difference. I use vinegar in the water if I need to clean mineral buildup out of something, but I don't know if it's really needed for normal cleaning. You can try it both ways and see which one works better.

Oh, I wish I could share something new but I also use a wet cloth with a little dishwashing liquid. And then wipe it off with a clean dry cloth. I never had the problem of food particles getting stuck on the sides of the microwave oven. I only use the oven for heating food that I put in a covered container. I don't use it to cook food.

I usually fix a bowl of water with a few tablespoons of baking soda in it. Put it in the microwave and heat for 6 or 7 mins and then let stand for a few more mins. It loosens the food like magic. All you need to do now is take a damp cloth and wipe it out.

Hi. apples99. I usually will clean my microwave oven with some dish detergent. I let the food residue soak slightly and I will clean it then. I may use just a tad bit of bleach on my rag too to clean it out with. I use a microwave food cover to cover up my food while it is reheating or cooking in the microwave. This prevent the food from splattering all over the place.

Hey there apples Well I use a mug and water. If you half fill the mug with water and then put the microwave on until the water boils and leave it boil for a while it will produce steam and make the inside of the microwave moist, thus softning any incrusted food on the inside. I then take the mug out and wipe the inside of the microwave quickly with a cloth and it all comes off easily. I sometimes put some lemon juice in the water too, just to make it smell nice. Hope that helps.

Actually there is no single microwave woven in my village. Because it is a small village. But i regularly seeing it in my college canteen. And as a Electronics studying student, i am telling you that, it consists of so sensitive electronic components, so keep it away from dust. For every three or four month you bring it to an electronic repairing shop.

I give mine a quick wipe down every day when I do supper dishes. About once a week I put a coffee cup of water, to which I add a Tablespoon or two of vinegar. The steam loosens up all that hard stuck on stuff, and makes it much easier. I usually give it a quick swipe when I have something splatter, but then I don't live by myself, so sometimes splatters do get cooked onto the inside.

first you put a bowl of water, maybe with some lemon juice in it, and microwave on high for about 5 minutes. Then let it sit for another 10 minutes or so. Go in with a cloth and use the water to wet the cloth (remember, it is VERY HOT!) The crusted, dried on stuff should wipe more easily away. Repeat if there is still more stuff stuck. Then, when its clean, be sure to always cover anything that might pop or explode so it stays cleaner. I also have an old plate in the microwave so that if anything drips on it, I can pull that out and clean it rather than worry about taking out the glass turn table - or I can continue microwaving another thing while the plate is being cleaned.
