Obamacare - a disparaging term

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.)(the gift that keeps on giving), asked that the term not be used on the house floor as it is a disparaging term. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/disparaging dis·par·age –verb (used with object), -aged, -ag·ing. 1. to speak of or treat slightingly; depreciate; belittle: Do not disparage good manners. 2. to bring reproach or discredit upon; lower the estimation of: Your behavior will disparage the whole family. I agree Obamacare is disparaging but not in the way Wasserman claims. It is crap legislation that disparages our country, our freedom and our Constitution.

Rep. Wasserman needs to be jailed along with every other Democrat who installed an ineligible usurper into the WH in order to "win" an election. It's called treason, sedition, fraud. How's that for "disparaging"? How's excreting on our Constitution for "disparaging"? "ObamaCARE"?, certainly a misnomer at best, truly c--p, as you have noted, unconstitutional "nonlegislation". It IS a piece of c--p, authored BY a piece of c--p and they both need to be flushed out of this country.

Our jails are already overrun with lawbreakers; what's a few more corrupt and dangerous politicians? In fact, maybe some lesser offenders could be released to "work programs" in order to provide jobs instead of welfare and at the same time make room for political criminals. That's already being done in many jurisdictions - 'No Room at the Inn" for so many who wander off the straight and narrow, even "sillies" like Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan. As to the traitors in office, bread and water should suffice. The old penalty for treason was hanging.

Well, I think it's disparaging to call it health care reform. So if we can't call it Obamacare, then I'm with you, we'll call it "crapcare".

It's funny how some people consider things like this disparaging. By the same token I've seen people say they don't appreciate being called "liberals" like it's an insult. Well if it's what they are, and they're proud of what they are, why would they be insulted by that word? It's not like calling someone a "dumbocrat" or some term that's clearly designed to be an insult. No, it's just part of controlling the language to make things seem better than they are. I keep saying we'll never have to close GITMO if Obama renames it the South Cuba Ocean Front Resort.

lol love the new name! I guess this falls under the same as pricing something at $19.99 instead of $20. Most people look at the outside. I bet that "resort" would get a lot of high paying visitors.

I will continue to write Obamacare. I will not call it that other complete lie. It is what it is. Name it anything else and it still needs to be a 2000 page bonfire.

It is a legitimate belief of some that simply changing language changes the world. No more "war on terror," and Muslims won't feel bad. No more anti-admin criticisms, and psychos won't kill folks. It's all more of the same. One, it never makes much sense. Two, the favor is not returned. Three, it's just a weak attempt at turning any debate inside out to leave people talking about what "is" is instead of what they need to be talking about. This is something that will never change. It's probably something both sides do, but those on the left really love their slogans and really love pointing the finger at "language" in general. At least Debbie Wasserman didn't flee the state!
