Pay no attention to the union label, at least not on this bus in Madison WI.

The old jingle used to remind us to "look for the union label".. This link is dedicated to all the good lefties who keep saying there's no evidence that national unions are busing people in to the protests in Madison. Grass roots? Yeah right. http://althouse.blogspot.com/2011/03/democracy-looks-like-big-union-bus.html

I just had a horrible thought, I see little children all across the country with tatoos of "union made" on the backs of their necks!!! Thanks for that image in my head ParaTed. Seriously, is that not what is being said. THEY ARE IN CHARGE OF THE CHILDREN FOR SEVEN HOURS A DAY. Don't get me wrong. I'm sure they teach math, reading, and science. But if they are this rabid about their politics, what stops them from teaching it in the classroom?

I didn't know they were denying it, it seemed common knowledge. Between the bused-in union-paid protesters and the outside rabble-rousers like Jesse Jackson and Michael Moore, it's anything but grassroots. They've done a good job of keeping the hysteria high.

I got into quite a "discussion" with someone who swears what happened in Wisconsin was a "grassroots" protest. Right. Per Wikipedia (which they love to quote): The term grassroots implies that the creation of the movement and the group supporting it are natural and spontaneous, highlighting the differences between this and a movement that is orchestrated by traditional power structures. There was nothing natural or spontaneous about what happened in Wisconsin.

I agree, I see it here as well. The same tired cliches...like why do you want to support something that is "not in your best interests"? You know, I'm just about ready to give up on trying to convince anyone that we're going down the tubes. The format here encourages an argumentative mind set. They won't turn their opinons loose and think for just a minute. So what do you do? You can show them it in black and white and video and they still won't see.

Democracy, also know as mob rule, or so they hoped.
