ignore this. I'm sore and under orders not to lift anything or strain. People want to come and visit, but I want them to stay home. My house is a mess, I've been suffering since Christmas. People want to bring food, but I'm not on solid food yet. I'm thinking about maybe some noodles with butter or rice with butter or rice with olive oil. I like how I'm leaving the hospital and the nurse is yelling after me to remember to start with jello and lots of liquids. Nothing about how to transition from jello and applesauce to harder stuff. I don't mean to sound ungrateful to everyone who wants to help, but they send you home too early now, except that I prefer to sleep in my own bed. I think that helps a great deal. I think I get better with sleep, but I also need food and until today, I didn't feel like making any and my husband is great at making food that's good for him, but not for me. I was wondering if we even had jello as I was leaving the hospital. But we did have two boxes. I sent my hubbie out for some yogurt and some applesause, too. No straining includes not coughing, not straining to go to the bathroom, etc. So I coughed and set myself back hours in healing. I was back to bleeding like I had been a few hours earlier. Called the Dr. on-call for Urology and he told me not to beat myself up about it, but if it becomes worse to come in. Well, it became better, so I'm OK. I'm taking my inhaler every 4 hours now whether I think I need it or not. I'm blowing my nose every hour even if I think I don't need to and now I have a nose bleed, but at least that isn't making me cough. The operation went well, but they won't know anything for sure for a week yet. That's when all the lab results come back. I had dye and a kidney plus the tubs going down to the bladder tested, I had two tumors cut out of my bladder, I had chemo to kill any floating cells that might have detached. He took a little more than he thought was tumor to try to see if he went far enough down. I'm more sore where that idiot test was conducted than the bladder where stuff was cut out. I used to wonder how the kidneys could be in the back and the bladder in the front, now I can trace the kidneys and the lines all the way to the front and down to the bladder. When they had me go home, I was so weak, it was unbelievable. But I had a great night sleep. Actually, I've had 3, Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night. Tonight, I told my hubbie, when he gets home, I want to get into the bathtub, take a bath while he's home. Spunge bath was all I could manage, but I think with his help getting me in and out, I can manage OK. He only missed 1/2 a day of work for the operation because it was Friday afternoon. Thank you everyone for your prayers, I'm still here and I'm doing well. Getting a little better each day. Feel awful by nightfall. So hopefully, they got it all, otherwise, I have to have more surgery. Hopefully, it didn't travel to the kidneys. The good thing about the tubes from the kidneys to the bladder that it's a long way away.

It sounds as if you have really been through it and back again. Glad to hear you are ok. I used to have a a plastic likeness that showed how everything is set up in our bodies. There is really alot of stuff such as the intestines and stomach inbetween the kidneys and the bladder.

Yeah, my back hurts where the kidneys are, the line over each hip and then down to the bladder. That hurts worse than the bladder surgery. Probably because they didn't hurt, but the bladder has been hurting since Christmas, so maybe I built up a tolerance to pain there, but not where I didn't have any? I don't know. But I'm hoping to be back to work soon. So far, so good, peace and love.

I am glad that you are home and that the operation went well. You are on your way to healing and being back to normal. I will be anxious to hear of the lab results. I am thinking that the hospitals are just wanting the money and that the insurance companies push them to push people out of the door. It is sad but it is the way that life is now. Keep us posted on how you are feeling!

May your Father and I be well soon. Yes, you really can get sick and tired of being sick and tired. I know I am and I've been sick and Tired since Christmas. So I look forward to being happy, health, and full of energy again. I hope the same for your Father. Peace, love and may good things come your way.

Oh, Writers, I'm holding my breath & praying for you. I didn't get time yet to pass your name on to the Church (Palm Sunday my ride was late & I barely had time for Confession; Mass had already begun!), but I'm going to email the Monastery & put you in. With everyone praying for you, you'll feel it. I don't envy you the chemo. I've heard it's awful. But you rest up, & please don't feel you need to MyLot; you need rest more! Love, all our love, to you, hon. I am sooo glad to hear from you and very happy that everything went well. Don't worry about that house..you know it will all still be there when you are feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed again. Take it easy and don't try to over do it. You will be back to your old self again in no time. Take care.

Thanks, I can't wait. every day since Christmas, I've been more and more tired. The little guys were sucking the life out of me. Now every day I have a little more each day. So I'm really hoping I get back to my old self soon. Thanks very much for your kind words and the hugs.

I am so glad you are home and all appears to have gone well. I am amazed these days that a patient can have surgery and be sent home so soon. But I suppose it has to do with great medical technology and experience from the doctors to accomplish such a quick return home. You listen to the doctor and do not over do it. By doing so you may end up with a longer recovery time. I do hope that is the end of it but from the sounds of it all is going well so far. I will continue to pray for you so that during your recovery time you are at comfort and not in pain. Thanks for the update.
