Filing a claim to get some money back from Chase

I found it totally unacceptable with Chase new policy charging me $12 per month for this B.S. annual fee. I just won't deposit my money there anymore. So, I made money transfer gradually, and about next week, I will visit one of its branch to close my account. Also, recently a settlement letter from Kardonick, who file a lawsuit against Chase for its fraud on customer payment protection plan might help me gain some money back from the lost of $12 annual fee. Because this lawsuit would involve anyone who sign up with Chase credit card protection plan, and I am one of those victim too. Hopefully, by August, I might get some money back from it. That is the business model, if you fail on customer satisfaction, customers simply take their business somewhere else. I originally have a free checking account, and all of sudden, they decided to make my free checking to total checking, and charge me fee. Oh come on, there are plenty of competition out there, I won't need you.

With the recent changes in the credit card laws, banks don't make as much money. Looks like they are well under way on figuring out how to get it another way.

I agree. There are lots of other places out there that do not charge a fee. I would switch to another place that does not charge the fee also.
