How To Increase Our Ranks In Every Interest?

Read the explanation drop-down from the query button on the 'my interest rankings' list on your profile. It explains what Interest rankings are and says: "The best way to increase your Interest Rankings is to contribute positively and often to discussions within a particular interest. Note that Interest Rankings are calculated once a day, so you may not see changes for up to one day." I don't believe that rankings affect your earnings but posting good quality responses and comments which are well rated by other users definitely does have a bearing on what you earn and it will also tend to increase your rankings.

Owlwings has already said it better than me. Interest rank doesn't have any effect on earnings and the way the interest ranks are calculated is through ratings given by other members. If you want to increase your interest ranking then you should post good quality responses and discussions in that interest category. I've gotten to number one in certain interest categories because those are the interests that I "haunt" and post on every post discussion I have something of value to say to. Being more active in the interest is going to help you get a higher interest ranking, so if you want to be one of the top ten then you've got to contribute lots. If it's a small interest then it's not really that difficult to get into the top ten, but for big interests it's much more difficult.

Just like you I have no knowledge about it and honestly I am not concern about it,too. I have been here for almost a year now and there's so many things still unclear to me. What I love being here is the community that is really good and inspiring and very attentive to each other. I just hope this will keep on going for a long long time. I have no idea also about this number ranked is all about and I wanted also to ask anybody about it. You post first so I don't need to post again a discussion similar question about this. Now, atleast my confusion been cleared because of some ideas give by fellow myLotters. I want also to be number one in any interest that might be I have alot of ideas. I think I need to post more quality to acquire this ratings.
