At night I get tired. Before I called it age (those knees that hurt and all that). But now, with the chemo, I know what it is to end the day tired. So I watch TV. There are so many movies I´ve seen several times, yet I see them again. My daughter promised to show me how to download movies from the computer, but I haven´t arrived to that talented me.
Do you watch old movies on TV? Where do you watch them? My mom watches TV seated but I prefer the nest in my bed. I also go for romantic movies, the kind where you have a moment of tears
. It seems I´m getting old
. Tonight I´m not decided if I watch Nottinhill for the 6th time or check something else.

Hi marguicha,
we all are getting old. With the aging our tests are changed. Old people become nostalgic. They prefer love and emotion. So you repeatedly watch old movies of love and emotion. It is also true that our body become old, but mind remains young. We always remain romantic. I wish you have a nice sleep after watching romantic movies on TV screen.

Thanks, friend. But I have to add that sometimes I also love to see a good action movie, a thriller or even one of psychological horror from the good old days.

Well, when you lie down naisitna is nice to watch some good movie.
when watching an old movie or series I've watched my back is interesting.
But when I watch TV lying often is it that I just fall asleep.

There are many people that fall asleep watching TV in the bed. But I don´t mind much. TV is relaxing and if I fall asleep, I will surelly have the possibility of watching the same movie or serieal again.

Last Sunday my 10 year old grandson came to see Avatar with me. He brought the movie. I loved it, except at the beginning because he thought I did not understand it, so he stopped the movie with the control and explained every secuence to his dumb granny until I could assure him that I had understood. Of course there was no possibility of falling asleep then: I has to pass an exam.

I usually watch tv before going to sleep...I don't have a dvd player or vcr hooked up in my bedroom. I do love watching old mivies & I normally do that while laying on the couch. I love horror movies & for something completely different, I love all movies with Doris Day or Judy Garland in it.

I have alll those deveces only in my room. And I haven´t seen a Doris Day movie for a long time put I´d love to see one again. I think I saw them all at due time.

Everyone in my house goes to sleep before I do so that I am able to have a little bit of quiet time before I go to sleep at night, which is really nice for me. I will typically watch a television show that I've recorded on the DVR and work on some crochet for an hour before I will go to sleep at night so that I can pretty much wind down from the day that I've just faced. It really isn't anything that is exciting, but it is something that I really enjoy doing at the end of the day.

I think it´s awesome that you can have a time for yourself. We all need some space for us and you do way to much for all of your family. I bet that show and crochet are really the best way to end your day.

There are many times I cannot sleep at night and do enjoy watching TV. I no longer have cable and we are here in IL forced to use a scrambler for regular programming. The programs get so static that it drives me nuts.
But I do remember the wonder times I had cuddled in bed while I watched old films. This is how I came to appreciate a lot of TV as I was so eager to watch the old films.
These days I have been watching a lot of movies and shows on the net and I have been doing so a great many times as I have not been feeling well and up to be up and around. I do hope all is going well with the chemo my friend.

actually its so nice to watch old movies especially those old comedy movies and old horror movies,and i do this especially on my rest day,but in the evening before i go to sleep i always logging in here in mylot and participate even in a short time to earn money and share ideas to others discussion.

I like watching old movies on the TV too. I used to be a movie addict during my younger years, going to movie theatres atleast three times a week. Memories linger in my mind. So, when they show the oldies on the TV, I would very much enjoy watching them. In fact, that is one of my ways of relaxation before going to bed.

I went a lot to the movies when my husband was alive as we both enjoyed it. Now I don´t like to go alone so I have to be invited to the movies. But with the CDs things have changed a lot. My friends bring me movies to see when there´s no classic movie to watch in TV. A few weeks ago I watched Vertigo again after decades and it was as good as new.

I love cozing up in bed watching old movies too. My favourites ones I can also watch over and over again. I enjoy putting my electric blanket on (we’re just coming out of winter here) and snuggling with my cats with the T.V. on. The problem I have though is that I tend to fall asleep before the end of whatever I am watching!

Same here, Paula. We are beginning Spring, but the electric blanket is still my partner. At night, it is a lot more unexpensive AND fun to go to bed and watch old movies. I fall asleep many times, but as some are movies that I have seen several tiems, I don´t mind.

I used to read a lot before going to sleep. But now I have to get new reading glasses and my time is filled with my chemo. I hope I can finally go to a optometrist next week.

I also love to watch old movies, but I like to watch them in holidays, I prefer watching movies seated because I get asleep when watching on bed. Sometimes in TV there are good classic movies but most of the time it plays movie that do not draw my interest.

i dont generally watch old movies but there are few classics by alfred hitchcock and stepehen king that i would really like to watch but for that i need to go to the blockbuster to buy a one
and i feel too lazy to go there

I had the pleasure of seeing again Vertigo a couple of months ago. I hadn´t seen it for decades and it´s still as good as new. Hitchcock was a genious.

I do love to watch old movies but only the real old ones so before 1980, black and white is fine with me too.
I never watch tv in bed, it's hard for met to sit in bed and I like it dark there. So if I go to bed I go to sleep.
I watch movies at my couch, seldom behind my pc.
Mostly I am behind my pc before I go to bed (if I have to stay in bed I might take that with me in my bedroom for a while) or watch a movie. at the moment I seldom read.
