toasted. It brings out the sunflower seed taste. I wish I had more. The other bread I like like is artisian cranberry nut. What breads are your favorite? How often do you have them? I usually have special breads only as a treat around the holidays. We used to bring them to gatherings, but my brothers with diabetes try to eat half a loaf each so it becomes not good for them and we can't afford enough for everyone. Is there any bread that you shouldn't buy it because you eat too much of it?

Oh, that sounds yummy, and it isn't even lunchtime yet...I would rather purchae whole grains every time, but the price.. And with whole grains, I would eat more than I should.. I have to save up to buy bulk grains and make my own bread. So this bread has barley and sunflower seeds? That sounds like a bread I'd love to try and make myself..

We have a half price bread store. Whatever doesn't sell in one week comes back from the regular stores and you can buy it at half the price. So $3 is $1.50. It's on his way back from work, he goes by it every day, so we get some awesome bread!

Yes, sometimes Kroger's has a "managers" special on bread and that is how I get to enjoy whole grains, but lately all the good breads are either taken by the time we get there, or it sells on the shelves enough now, there is no old bread..:(

I like real wheat bread. Not the carmel colored type. Also potatoe bread. We used to get a very good Irish Oat bread. And, my all time favorite I used to get at the co-op. It was seven grain wheat bread. I would ask for one thick slice warmed with butter on it and it would be my lunch. Very filling and delicious tasting.

Nothing like just baked bread out of the oven with butter. Now I want some! I've had oat bread, how is Irish Oat different?

Sort of like oatmeal cookies. I remember when my grandmother was alive she baked bread every week. My uncle would just happen to come over on that very day. He'd have it warm out of the oven thickly sliced with butter and honey on it. YUM@!

Almost any kind of bread disappears quickly in my house. My kids are bread fiends and I like it a lot too. French Baguette's are something that we would go through a whole bunch of in one day. Cibatta bread too. I don't have money to buy breads like that often though. I bought a loaf of Nutty Oat bread the other day that had sunflower seeds in it. My kids loved it. I usually buy this Hearty Wheat bread that has Flax seed in it that they love. We go to the Wonder Bread store and get it for $1.09 a loaf instead of the $3+ a loaf the grocery store usually charges. Good thing too because the 4 of us in this house go through 2-3 loafs a week.

My husband goes to the half price bread store, here, on his way home from work. Se get 7 grain, 12 grain, Canadian Oat, all kinds of stuff. The whole wheat flat breads for toaster ovens are really nice toasted, too. What is cibatta bread? That one I don't know.

I like several breads. Most of the ones I like are rich like chocolate chip zucchini bread, chocolate chip banana bread, focaccia, and cinnamon rasin. Really as long as it's fresh from the oven consider it yummy! I don't blame your brothers, it's awful when there are so many tasty carbs out there but the only problem is how much you can have and the will power to only have that much. Therefore if it's something that's not very good for me I will rarly buy the item. But I make the banana and zucchini bread, I don't buy it. Let me tell ya the family gobbles 2 loafs down in 1-2 days!

I haven't really had chocolate chips in bread. You're the second person who has said the cc banana bread, so I'll have to try it. Love focaccia. Zucchini breads tend to be so awesome and moist, ours usually have walnuts in them. Oh I don't blame them either. I know it's hard. A person gets tired of meat and veggies. During the holidays you want to eat what you want to eat, too. Thanks and take care.

Hi writers Here, we have only the kinds of bread - the normal and the wheat. The normal doesnt go with my illness and the wheat one is expensive and comes in larger packs only. So havent got the liberty to have that many a times but I love making sandwiches out of these or even toasts by stuffing anything that can go at that time. When I was healthy, I loved the omelette stuffing in these toasts and could have them full

We have all kinds of bread here. It's amazing how many kinds we have. But we also have people from all over the world in the states and they all want their bread from where they came from. Plus people with health problems still want to eat gluten free bread or whatever. Sorry you can't have one bread because of your heath and the other because of $. My husband goes by the 1/2 price bread store on the way home from work. That's why we can buy nice bread. I love Omelettes. I try to have one a week. They're good and with bread, too. Yum!

Wow, thats so sweet of your husband to bring you home some barley sunflower bread. I haven't tried it nor heard about it but basing on how you describe it, it sounds good. I love breads but I don't have favorites in particular. I usually eat white loaf bread but now we are more on eating wheat bread, its healthy.

I made an awesome bread once when I had sourdough starter. I crumbled up some shredded wheat, added sunflower seeds, and walnuts. My husband said he'd try it but thought I was crazy. He didn't stop eating it. There are some really awesome breads out there to try. Yes, my hubbie is very sweet. Welcome to Mylot. Hope you enjoy it here. Thank you for responding.
