I sure do!
It makes my hand itch(will not literally haha!) when i see baking pans, measuring cups, spatulas, weighing scales, and other fancy gadget in the kitchen section on the supermarket. I am slowly completing my collection on baking equipments, and now Christmas is near and their will be discounts (cant wait to buy some new equipments!) The oven would be crank up to high gear for testing new recipes.

hi:)
looks like you're into baking for you to collect those things, me as well love baking, but only brownies and cookies, and as much as I want to collect baking things,I can't yet because I'm still studying and no money to buy that stuff, but maybe in time I will invest some too.

I use to like collecting all kinds of baking pans, etc. I still get a few now and then. But, as I am getting older, there just is no room for everything anymore. Plus I don't use them as much as I did when the kids were home. So I have cut back on some of the items as I will never use that many of one item again. LOL.
Enjoy your new equipment when you get it.

hello pepai123456,
With regards to your main topic discussion, my sister is the one who likes to collect those things. Whenever she had an extra time to visit a shop where she can bought baking equipments, she will make it a point that she will purchase one. However, I was the one who always take good care of those, whenever she uses it for baking. Since she does not have an extra time after she have had her baking. But, that is just fine. That is my way of helping in return.

Hi peps,
I am not much in to baking so i dont really collect baking wares.I am into pots, pans, plates and cups and saucers.Cooking is much better for me than baking that is why you will see a lot of pans and pots and cooking wares in our kitchen..
And because we are coffee addict we have lots of different kinds of cups and saucers.

my dad likes to cook so he likes to buy nonstick pans and stock pots. Anyway its okay at least you still collect kitchen stuff that means it is still slightly related to the discussion hehehe...
I like mugs but i like them to be printed and untouched =3.hehehe...

I have collected heepa of kitchen things and I hate cooking so I made myself stop, I for one do not have the storage space for these things and I am a lousy cook so for me there is no point but when I think of the money I have wasted over the years it makes me feel wooosey.

I LOVE looking at the baking stuff and have bought some, but have stopped myself. I buy the stuff and then end up using the "old stand-by" that I have used for years and years! All the new fangled rolling pins...looked at them at Bed Bath and Beyond the other day and they look cool, but my "old fashioned" wooden one with handles at each end and it rolls...does just perfect so why bother with progress when the "oldie" works just fine! So I just buy certain things... I look at pans all the time, but again...got the basics and can work from there and with no kids...not to much reason to buy new stuff. The newest thing I have learned to LOVE is parchment paper. Learned about that few year ago and it is the best thing since sliced bread! I wish I'd known about that years ago when I had kids. Lot of cookies wouldn't have been trashed due to burning the bottoms! I used it this week to bake cookies as I taught my grand daughter how to bake from start to finish...and she thought I was nuts to bake on paper! But I explained and then showed and she thought it was great! Good luck with your baking and I hope you really enjoy it as much as I do!

A serious home baker is a good thing to be! I hope you enjoy your talent and skill while you love it! I know I do. I just know that all I went through...I always try to share with others just starting out...so they don't have to go through what I went through! I lost so much time and product cause I didn't know!!! But it is certainly alot of fun, isn't it!

I have just about everything I need to do cooking and baking. But, every once in a while, I see something more that I could want but decide I can do without. I have one big slow cooker that I've never used. It has dish inserts where multiple items can be cooked. I have a good mandoline that I just use for large jobs otherwish I just use a good sharp knife to slice, etc. I don't think I need to get any further tools. But I still like to look at the catalogs. I get several. The Chef's catalog is my favorite.

I used to buy all sorts of kitchen gadgets when I was young, but now I just use the things I have. I discovered long time ago that I preferered to use a glass instead of a cookie cutter. I always forgot where it was

I'm fun of collecting kitchen stuffs because I love to cook except lately when the prices are high and ingredients are less affordable.I have baking tins, meat grinder ,beater and some good quality kitchen knives. However,I seldom used it now because I'm always away from home.My sisters are using it without properly taking care of it,and I hate to see my things like that.So I decided to just stop buying things and just save money.I'll just start collecting when I'll have my own house where I can keep my things away from uncaring hands.

Your sister should really pay attention on your kitchen tools she should be very careful and gentle when using them, its your money anyway and she is not taking a good care with it =o.

well since i bake i need some fancy equipments that is why i buy it. And I'm definitely more of a home baker =)
I think...
Cooking = more extravagant ingredients, spices, and seasoning and needs less equipment.
Baking = Basic ingredients it only change on how the way you apply them and requires more fancy gadget.
happy baking Rosa26!
