Do you feel that the right thing has been done? Do you think that they'll eventually be resurrected when public furor has calmed down?

Just another scheme of his to make some type of "profit" from something so tragic. If he really didnt do it, how could you come up with different type senario's you would come up with for yourself if your not guilty.

Yes, his attitude sucks. He thinks he's off such a coup. Then he throws a tantrum when people don't think he should just go about life as if nothing had ever happened.

Whether he did it or not, people should not profit from a crime. Especially if the crime involved someone he was supposed to have cared about.

It's all pretty sick, isn't it? When my husband and I first heard that all this was taking place, we were shocked. They were unable to find him guilty, but they never proved he was innocent, either. He has always had a pretty cocky attitude about everything, too. I can't believe he's resurfaced like this so many years after the public banished him.

While I'm glad they are cancelled, I hadn't heard that. Are you sure they have been cancelled? I figured the book would already be at the publishers.

How could anyone who was alive at the time of the murders and the trial forget? The outcome of the trial was shocking. No one proved OJ innocent, and no one ever looked for or found someone else to pin the crime on. If he was so innocent, why didn't they go after the real killer?

Good idea to cancel them both. I don't think a major publishing house will want to touch that book after the furor it created, but maybe someone could put up the money for it privately. Maybe the TV show will be done on some cable network that doesn't have to worry about ratings as much as Fox TV.

I suppose you're right. Since the material already exists, someone will decide to make a quick buck with it.

Public furor should never calm down on this issue. It is disgraceful for him to benefit from such an heinous crime. Does the man have no shame? He should have more respect for his children, if nothing else. FOX has reached a new low in my opinion.

He's a disgrace, and so is anyone who tries to abet him in his nefarious schemes. I can't imagine how he represents Nicole to her children if he's willing to say the things he does in public and tries to make money on her horrible murder. It's all so sick!

I am thrilled that the deal has been cancelled. I couldn't believe he would have the audacity to do that to begin with. Some people will do anything to make a buck and I think he was stooping pretty low to try to make money on that.

We all know he's pretty low, anyway. I never had any doubt that if he had been just a poor, average Joe he'd have been convicted of the murders. He was just able to afford that expensive team of lawyers who finagled his way out of the problem. Justice was not done, and it's sad to think that he was trying to make money off of flaunting his crime. The poor families of the victims must have been fit to be tied.

The whole thing makes me sick... whether or not he is guilty of those murders, to make a display of the situation is inhuman. And this man has children! I shudder to think of how all of this has affected them.

You're right about those poor children. They've been thru the mill right in front of the public eye. Who knows what its been like in their private lives? Their mother was murdered, and their father is callous and self-serving. Those aren't exactly the best circumstances to grow up in and not suffer any permanent mental damage.

I am glad that they have cancelled both and hope that they do not resurrect it when things calm down... How dare he say and promote something saying.. this is how it happened if i would have done it. The creap!! What about Jessica and Ron's families.. I can't even imagine how they feel.

Yes I do think it's right. He should never have been encouraged to write the book in the first place! "How I would have killed my wife if I had done it"! A very bad and wrong and sensationalist idea. It does nothing to further justice. I have no interest in OJ Simpson - I don't think he's a good or admirable person - and I don't think he should be encouraged to make money out of sensationalist supposition. It's another case of media sewer-scraping and I'm glad someone saw sense and killed the idea.

Well I can understand why a network or a publicist wouldn't want to be responsible for the TV special or the book. However I don't believe in censorship, of any kind, so IMO if O.J. could find a publicist to publish his book he should be allowed to do so.

The Public always like garbage. they fed off garbage the whole world, look at Jerry Springers show he always has good ratings and people love it.

I agree. If anyone is foolish enough to publish his book, why not? No one says that anyone has to buy it, though. I know I wouldn't.

I agree that they should have been cancelled because all this does is open up old wounds for the families of the victims and O.J. gets to tell the world that he got away with murder and isn't sorry about it, but he hopes you help him profit by it.

Knowing how the public feels about him, how can OJ even show his face outside of his own house? That guy has no moral conscience at all. I think that back in his football days he got so convinced that everyone loved him and he could do no wrong that he's still under that illusion. He loves to thumb his nose at us all.

I'm happy they were cancelled. I still think he did it, and it was dumb for him to write a book about how he would have done it..... come on... who does that when they are innocent?

I am very Glad these were cancelled. If they would have given OJ this fame, who knows what they would have allowed next? I am so Glad Fox listened to the American people this time instead of going ahead and doing things their way.

Don't you think the media is playing an awfully big part in hyping this whole story up? No one would even know about any of it if it hadn't been plastered all over the TV, the Internet, newspapers, and magazines. The media does far more damage than it does good these days. They've thrust OJ back into the limelight which is just exactly what he wanted in the first place.

Now that a decision to stop the publication has gone ahead, it will not be so easy to alter it. There has been far too much benefit of this kind for people in the past and it certainly needs to be controlled. The same situation existed with what was termed "Cheque book journalism" whereby newspapers were paying large sums of money to friends and families of infamous criminals for their private stories.

Yes, I do. I think both were in horrible taste and I think it is high time that we stop obsessing on the whole issue. I think that O.J. was just trying to capitalize on the crimes - strictly for money - and I think that was appalling.

I'm surprised no black market copies have turned up yet. I highly doubt that every copy was destroyed. I would like to see someone post it on the internet so that his "confession" is out there without him profiting one cent. As for the TV special, I'm stunned that anyone thought this was a good idea and that they would be able to get sponsors and avoid totally turning off viewers. Cancelling both was the right thing to do, not because anyone should be censored but because sometimes self-censorship is correct and moral.
