People are getting grumpy

I have been out and about mixing with the holiday shoppers for a couple of weeks now and while the lines were long, the people were all in cheerful moods. But now the stress is really on and I am not going out again until this season is over. Not one smile was present you could just feel the irritation coming off people in waves. I'm glad I'm through and my heart goes out to those who aren't. Merry Christmas

Tell me about it. It is the stress of the holidays shopping and all the preparations. Tonight I have to go with my girl to Victoria Secret to get her an outfit for this weekend. She saw something online and she wants to go. And I know I will be encountering some grumpy people.

Every one must be in a hurry to finish off the Christmas shopping and all the work related to the celebration. The time is less work is more, no body has time for a smile or a chat , all are stressed i guess.

That's sad. I think all the frowns and grimaces are because we have commercialized the Christmas holiday so much. There is so much pressure to give expensive things. When my mother was little in the 20's and 30's they were thrilled if my grandpa had enough money to bring home an orange and a few pieces of candy. They played music, piano and guitar, and read the Christmas story from the Bible. It was a joyous day for them. I wish we could get back to that. Happy Christmas to you!

I know just what you mean! The crew at work last night was certainly in a foul mood. Everyone was complaining about the people who weren't there. Lots of grumbling that I am sure is related to holiday stress. I just stayed out of it! LOL

If they don't like 'The Christmas Crush' they should buy all their presents online. They'd save money and shoe-leather and be in a good mood when the postman knocks! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR FULL OF GOOD THINGS!
