The telephone

I really hate the telephone, when I am listening to someone, especially someone who wants my advice, I need to read their body language. When I am talking I also like to see them that way I get a hint if they are not understanding what I am saying. For many years I spent at least halv my life each day on the phone now all I want is short conversations on it.

i am not really very crazy about talking on phone, but yes i like it. When ever i am free, tired of my laptop , i just pick up my phone and start chatting with my family or friends. In fact sometimes i prefer talking on phone than to see them this way i know when say bye and get busy with what i want to do.

I am not crazy about talking on the phone either. I know what you mean about the body language and knowing that the other person is "getting" what you are saying in the manner you said it. When I was younger, I loved talking on the phone. I didn't think about the things you are talking about in the same way though. I enjoy even casual conversations better in person than I do over the phone.

Though telephone is the most convenient tool to interact with people who are miles away from us but it can be quite irritating when people call just to have a conversation with us. I too don't fancy talking over the phone as some people just like to hang on the phone talking endlessly as if they need pay no bills.

Pedople don't always have to be themselves over the telephone. You can do and be whoever you want to be and the persson on the other end of the line if you are being the real you or not. the same came be said for the other end of the conversation. Unless you can see the person talking to you, how sure can you be of the sincereity of theor words.

I am not one to talk on the phone either. It does not matter that I own an iPhone or not. I use the phone when I need to. I also like short little conversations on the phone. I like playing with all the apps I have on my phone.

I think important discussions, important messages, urgent messages can never be delivered on the telephone specially when you want a feedback in return. Its important to see the other person's face, to give a clearer picture. I completely agree with you!

I can't stand the wretched, intrusive, things either! Whatever shape or form they come in now, they still annoy me! I too like to converse face to face. It is very difficult to carry on a conversation on the phone when somebody may have one eye on the TV, the computer or the cooking, and is not really paying attention to what you are saying! My phone is right above the table on which I have meals. So it often makes me jump to attention when I am in the middle of my spag bol. This is not good as I usually end up decorating myself with sauce or rapidly swallowing everything in my gob before answering. Neither is good for my temper or my digestion!
