Hi guys, Was there ever a time that you went shopping galore and that you were so happy and excited that you have all of this money to spend that you just picked whatever tickles your eye, then when you get home you say to your self. "I don't want this" , if you have please do share.

It doesn't happen to me very often, but I did experience that situation a couple of the times in the past. One time I bought a dress. In the shop it looked like a beautiful dress and I really liked it, so I decided to buy it. When I got back to my home I tried on the dress again and I discovered that I didn't really like it anyway, it just didn't look as nice as it did in the shop. I didn't buy it in my own town and I wasn't able to return the dress, so I gave it away to charity instead...and decided to think more carefully about my purchases next time!

Ha ha, most definitely. I think they call it 'buyers remorse'. Sometimes I'll go and splurge on a new top or a new pair of jeans that I LOVE how they look and later I remember, oh wait, I DON'T NEED ANY MORE CLOTHES!!!! Or I might decide I don't like how they look after all. That is why it's always important to leave your tags on and keep your receipts.

I've done some compulsive shopping in the past, and usually end up returning things for one reason or another. My budget is pretty tight and does limit the things I buy. But on occasion it is fun to spend money on frivolous things, and actually, some of them have become my favorite items. But usually, like you, I get home and don't like the thing or find it isn't what I thought it was, and return it to the store. Thanks for the discussion!

No I never had it. Already as a kid I was able to think twice, or triple before I spent. Although my parents were not poor at all. Since I live on my own I struggle with money. I learned through the years how to do more with 10 cents as someone else with 1$. Might be it's part of my character too? I will never buy just what I see, I always think: do I really need it. By now (getting older I guess) I see many things also as a waste of money. I also always ask myself if I really need it, if I still like it if I am back home. I am not impulsive if it comes to buy stuff. I prefer to think it over and will return, or not. If it's gone it's not mend to be mine. So this also means I never come home with: I don't want this. If it comes to that I also think it's too much trouble for me to take it back to the shop to get my money back.
