I just started with Zumba

I used to go do the Wii fitness faithfully and I liked it ok. Then I discovered Zumba. Now for a week or so that's all I do. I haven't purchased any of the tapes yet. I taped the 30 minute infomercial and play that over and over while trying to copy the moves. I love the beat and think this one is a terrific exercise. I also looked up some of the moves on u-tube and learned that way. My next step is to buy some beginner tapes...

That sounds like a good investment for yourself. I hope that benefits you like it has benefited other celebrities.

It is so clever of you, I think if I ever get the time, I will try it for sure. I am really attracted to the work out techniques. Thanks for sharing the information dear, good luck to you.

sanjay91422 Yes and one of the best parts was I used u-tube videos to learn the steps and used u-tube to have a variety of exercises. Soooo there was no investment of money..only an investment of time...

I just viewed the Youtube video and no wonder! Latin American music is so nice and contagious that the body just wants to dance along! Very happy and the steps and movements seem easy enough too, I love it! Yea, I have to agree, the beat is nice and not too complicated! Look out also for salsa and merengue music!

sylvia13....It is as if you can't help but move when they hear that beat..and any movement burns calories..so it doesn't matter is you follow the steps exactly..the real point is to burn calories in a fun way and for me this does it...

I bought the girls a wii for x-mas and I love wii fit! I try to beat my score every time. It is fun but you can get a great workout. I am thinking about getting the personal trainer one. It looks pretty cool.

That is great that you are looking for other avenues to help you stay healthy. Not everyone is lucky and able to exercise. I am one of those people. I do try and eat right, healthy and move when able to - to keep my weight down, muscles in shape and feel as fit as possible. Enjoy your new moves!

I have seen Zumba infomercials and they do look like it would be a fun way to burn off some calories, but I am so uncoordinated that I don't know how well it would work for me. I am not so clumsy that I trip over my own feet or anything, but that dancing stuff has never been something I was good at. I would feel weird doing it too. Good luck with it!

lilybug ..You don't have to be coordinated to do it...You can just move to the music in any way you want..you still burn calories.....I do this all alone in my bedroom.. Try it to the infomercial...it's a really good way to burn calories and have fun. I also have Sweating to the Oldies with Richard Simmons but I like Zumba better...
