That reminds me of that Al Jolson classic
[i]"Climb up on my knee,Sonny Boy
Though you're only three, Sonny Boy
You've no way of knowing
There's no way of showing
What you mean to me, Sonny Boy."

Kiss me once, and kiss me twice and kiss me once again
It's been a long long time
Haven't felt like this my dear, since, can't remember when
It's been a long long time
You'll never never know how much I love you
But all day long I'm dreaming 'bout you
So kiss me once, and kiss me twice and kiss me once again
It's been a long long time.
That was very popular in WWII and one of my favourite songs. Now you've got it running around in my head. LOL
Not bad for someone who just turned 30, eh?
Funny story, but you probably know by now I'm married to a guy who's a little more than twice my age (he's 65). When his ex-wife asked me what I could possibly see in him, I told her that a guy my own age probably doesn't even know what a record player is, let alone how to fix one. LOL
Does this answer your question?

I am sorry your husband didn't get to take you to the fair, but I am sure he must have done lots of other nice things for you? I think it's best not to promise anything and just DO rather than think of doing.

They say age is just a number... I could go with an older man, but not way younger... my thoughts would be that everyone thinks I'm his mother! I'm happy for you.
Does that song remind you of Doris Day? For some reason I think she has sung it in a movie or something.

Hi Hatley,
I checked out Blue's link and I do remember that song now from many years ago. Since you are giving us music that gets stuck in our heads. Here is a link to the one that CatsandDogs first thought of and so did I. Now listen to this and it will get that song out of your head.

The only song that I can relate these words to is "Kiss me once, Kiss me twice, Kiss me deadly" Called Kiss me deadly by Lita Ford however, I did find that this song that you're referring to is called "It's been a long time" which is apparently a gosible song. It's a pretty song to boot.

Hi Cats,
I was thinking of the Lita Ford song as well which is also a song that will stick in your head. Now that I've listened to Blues link below, it brings back memories of when I was a kid. My dad listened to a lot of Perry Combo. Also looks as if Frank Sinatra and many others sang it as well.

odd Bunnybon that they were playing F iddler on /the R oof on my
mom's television . I was so delighted to hear all those songs
'but my mom and dad just kept on their argument. I remember thinking why not listen to that music and quit fussing with each other. Their argument was so silly, and the music was so grand. people are so
funny at times, go figure.

I watch the old vintage musicals on TCM and AMC and FAM and then I get something stuff in my head. That is a nice old tune. Love Fred Astaire and Ginger ROgers and some of their tunes. So cute.

Since I don't go out to movies or other entertainment I give myself cable. And I experienced just the local stations Summer before last when I lived by myself for a time. It didn't take long to have my cable reinstalled. Using the antennae I had real bad reception and rarely could depend on the stations coming in when I wanted to watch them. It was a real dissapointment. So I would rather pay more for the cable and be sure of good reception. I stay in most of the time. And I have my phone and internet on the same bill.

If you think that is bad, then you haven't heard his "I Know a Song that'll Get on Your Nerves" or "Sausage Song"

That's so funny. There is a commercial that I sing all the time. I hear it or see it and dance it out and can't or don't get it out of my head forever. That's okay, I like it. It's nice and upbeat like I'd like to be all the time. That never hurts anything, does it?
It's the commercial where Steve gets his income tax return information and dances on the table. You should see the shapes I get in to dance like him! My little 2 year old grandson thinks I've lost it, I think!

and is dancing. I laughed so much I thought i was going to have to dash to the bathroom.trust my son to find the interesting stuff on youtube.I can see your little grandson watching his Grandmother and wondering what the heck! That's a pleasure I fear I will never have as I only have the one child and from all appearances he does not
intend to marry.
