can.
First the good news: The 2cm tumor in my abdomin is gone. My blood tests are great. My neobladder or Indianna pouch (one object, two names) and kidneys are fine.
Second bad news: The 2cm in my lung that had deflated is back up to the size it was before and growing. It decided to be like the U. S. Military and "change and adapt." So taxol will no longer work on it. It has overcome the current chemo.
So I'm back early because they've stopped the chemo. I really didn't want any chemo this week. I felt so well last week, that I didn't want to ruin it. But not exactly for this reason.
So the tumor being gone from the abdomin is wonderful. I thought the lung one would either shrink or remain the same, but instead it grew back up. So that was a shocker.
That was hard. This was even more shocking. He's purposing that I have an operation. Cut the cancer out of my lung. Laproscopic, between the ribs. No cracking or braking the sternum, not cracking or breaking the ribs. He's going to talk to the surgeon and see if it can be done by minimal invasiveness.
If it can't, then I go on different chemo. The problem is that the chemo will be a long time and will damage my bone marrow. Right now, my bone marrow seems to be doing well, but it won't soon. The bone marrow needs a break from being assaulted. He'd like me to try the operation if it's not too invasive and give my body a break from the chemo. The operation should either kill it or buy me some time.
The operation is contingent upon many different things. Like my having decent lung capacity. So I'm going to be working out a lot like walking, dancing, stair climbing, etc. All stuff to build lung capacity. No running because my knees couldn't take it and my lungs aren't ready for that.
I've had so many operations tha my heart and lungs may not even pass the tests and I may have to go back on chemo. So if you believe in prayer, please pray that the best thing for me happens. Whether it's an operation or chemo. Also pray that this nightmare becomes a past memory and I can live a happy, healthy, productive life soon. My life had been "on hold" for this crap for going on a year now and it's nuts.
So my husband and I were shocked 2xs during the test results and what could be done about it.
I'm also going to try to find some dandelions that aren't contaminated. A dandelion flower cleaned out my lungs before and I think they might clean them out again. Finding ones that aren't contaminated is difficult since my husband uses a gas and oil lawn mower and I don't see any in my garden.
So to say the results were mixed is an understatement. So they sent me home and will consult with a dr. Take care. Peace, love, and health to all of you.

Oh wow, writersedge - what a mix of news and emotions! First, the good news was great . . . part of the battle has been beat! On that note, I am staying positive for you about the lungs. Were you using the dandelions as a breathing exercise? It was just a beautiful picture in my head when I read that (my son is always picking and blowing on them these days)- that they could help you with your health. And we make wishes when blowing on them . . . next time, I will pick one and wish the best of health for you - and that all this will be behind you very soon!!

That is adorable. I can see your son and you doing that.
A dandelion saved me from pneumonia one time. I prayed and got the strength to stand up and walk to the outdoors. There was a field of dandelions. One glowed. I thought Moses has the burning bush, I have the glowing dandelion. I ate the head of the dandelion. Went back to bed and in no time did I start coughing phlem up. An entire wastebasket full. (sorry about how disgusting that is). Slept for 24 hours and it was like nothing happened.

I never heard of that tradition to wish upon the blowing fluff. I would be honored to have you do that and keep me in your wishes. That is soo cool.@much2say (57760)

Wow - and I have never heard of eating dandelion head!! I wonder if that would help with my on and off bronchitis!! But of course, as in the other discussion about orbs, I wouldn't be so lucky in finding a glowing dandelion. And coughing up a whole wastebasket full - wow - that's some detoxing!! Amazing! Hope you are able to find some organic dandelions!! Will do some writersedge wishin' tomorrow morning!

You have all these friends praying for you and thinking healing thoughts. I hope your body feels it. If possible do not do the thing that hurts your bone marrow. Do I need to send you some dandelions? Or do you need to grow some in a special place? Hubby does not mow often enough to kill anything.
. Would some dandelion tea do the trick? I may have to see about that for hubby right now.

I'm sorry to hear about this. Cancer is a nasty "beast" and what really hurts is that since the body thinks it is part of itself, it doesn't attack it.
It sounds like surgery might, and I say a very big MIGHT, be the best course. Having said that, if they make any kind of mistake, it seems to make it much worse.
Still, with the tumor still so small, it is quite possible that they can get it all without too much invasive removal.
I pray that is the way that they can decide to go, because I do know that in the end, damaging the bone marrow isn't a good thing.
My dad had a blood cancer and that meant that while it wasn't a bone cancer, it was, none the less, in the bones, because it was being created there.

Yes, blood is created in the bone marrow. My hope is that some day they will do well with current research. They're trying to take out the cancer, make attack cells designed to only attack the cancer they took out, and put the attack cells in. Like make your white blood cells or other cells specifically to attack the cancer they took out.

I think my allergies affecting my lungs made me weak enough for the cancer to go to my lungs. Your way would be better, but who knows.

oh friend, I'm so saddened that I don't or can't really say anything (I'm like this when I'm upset). Wish it is something we could both just open up, cut, step on and burn and it would be gone forever. Anyway the best I could assure you is our prayers, my family would be praying for your recovery daily, I'll also tell my mom's congregation to pray for your cause without ceasing, just remember that there are people in this small island nation they call the Philippines praying for you
, wish you the best of luck on your decision on what course to take and may the good Lord guide your doctors
