A man made a political contribution to Gov. Romney's campaign. On the Obama Website "Keeping GOP Honest" they listed several of these big contributors and supporters started ot harass and even spread falsehoods and half truths about the people causing a loss in business. The message seemed to be that if you donate to Romney you will be a target.

During President Obama run for the US Senate his supporters were able to get sealed court documents released on his opponent and forced him out of the race.
During his administration you had the EPA fine a family for building a house with out due process of law.
Gov Romney is labeled a bully for one incident in High School yet President Obama and supporters have shown a pattern of bullying and that is seen as not important.

That was a long winded article that sailed no ship. Okay, someone dug into the court records of a guy who gave Romney's PAC a bunch of money. Problem with PAC is no candidate is accountable for them and they can do whatever they want within the law. Some rumor came up that he's anti-gay, well I bet Romney is anti-gay, so if you give to him gay rights probably aren't on the top of your list. And anyone who donates $1 million dollars to a campaign has a pretty big interest in that candidate being elected.
Sounds like finger pointing as usual to me.

I have one comment and it really isn't about the topic, so forgive me before hand.
Why is it if you're for traditional marriage being upheld, you are automatically anti gay?
It is possible to give civil rights to gay partners within society, such as we do in common law marriages already, without changing what the definition of marriage is. I do not see Romney as being against gays. I believe in the sanctity of ANY life and that ANY life should be treated with respect. Knowing that Romney is a religious person (I have family who are Morman, they are a moral people for the most part) I can judge him as probably feeling the same way I do. Disagreeing with a lifestyle of a person is not the same thing as wishing them harm or wanting them treated unfairly.

Topics always diverge in politics, and if you read the article it was bound to diverge in this tread.
When you show me a group on the right, who decides gays should have equal rights and be a allowed a whatever you call it, because it will appease them that it isn't the sacred marriage, and change the wording of everything say marriage/civil union or whatever they call it. I might bite that the right doesn't hate gays. A common law marriage is just a marriage in which you become legally married without going to the court house to get married. In some states it only takes a minor act to do so, of course two people of the same gender could do all the common law acts and never be considered married or have the rights of a man woman couple did them.
Which brings me back to one of my biggest arguments against Christians being in politics. If marriage is a sacred act recognized by God between a man and a woman. Then why is it recognized by the government who shall make no respecting and establishment of religion? The government is recognizing you're religion by recognizing a union between a man and woman as a legal act.
By all logic, gays should be exercising their 2nd amendment right, and taking up arms against the church who is oppressing their rights.

Most moderate people on the right feel that marriage should be defined by the people of a state not an appointed judge. To me the answer is simple have a Civil Union so that people who want to live together can and enjoy certain benefits. Those who want to get married will also have a Civil Union and can have a church perform a Marriage. From what I have read most Gays would like the same benefits and respect (tax benefits, insurance benefits, survivor rights, hospital visits, etc) but is is the radicals who want the term Marriage to apply. Marriage has historically been defined as between a man and woman.
I think the government got involved because of one of the oldest reasons in the book. Like the Church, and the old Lord of the Mannor to collect a fee from the subjects to do something and to keep some power over them.
