knoodleknight18 responded to a discussion called What may be hidden in Obama healthcare bill, an Implantible RFID chip. in politics.

Very interesting indeed. However, it would still be years before they could really implement it even on a small scale. It would also open up a host of new problems most people can't imagine. The last thing I saw they are trying to make retail stores that use this technology to give you a no cash register experience, you shop and as you walk out the door, the scanner totals you're items then cha...

knoodleknight18 responded to a discussion called Why aren't people pointing out the obvious about who pays taxes? in politics.

This all rediculousness. I agree with the initial conclusion. Let's stick to that, there's clearly a problem with incomes if most of the people aren't paying taxes, I have a college degree and worked with a bunch of other college grads who are scraping by with the same jobs they did through college to finish paying of school. The companies that were failing did little if any better by exporting...

knoodleknight18 commented in a discussion called Can you explain in your own words the middle east problem? in politics.

War never does the host country any good. I'm thankful we haven't had a war here, but at the same time I think the majority of the country isn't in touch with the effect is has on the country. We occassionaly have to deal with a mass tragedy. In the middle east every day they have bombing, armies constantly fighting each other, and the war is largely urban, so their people are living and workin...

I don't condone shariah law any more than christian theocracy, I find them both wrong and have no place in a government that protects religious freedom. Actually, the last time Christianity forced shops to close was with blue laws which weren't repealed until maybe 50 years ago. Furthermore we have the highest incarceration in the world trailed significantly even by Russia. People are in pri...

There might not be many people in prison for prostution, but there are a huge amount in there for drugs, including Marijuana. Which in no country that it is legal or has been decriminalized has it caused any great social problems. The cost of it being illegal here is actually more damaging to this country, even more so than alcohol was during prohibition. Putting meth and pot in the same legal ...

Yeah, it's not treason or mutiny if you disobey orders that go against the United States. But even in the case of those people who stopped what was going on in gitmo it's a bad situation to be in.

knoodleknight18 commented in a discussion called conservatism in politics.

That wasn't that bad of a rant. I'm for being as fair as possible to all sides, don't forget kids can be mean, as for the people being left alone and living in the mountains or wherever, yeah the government always screws up when it comes that that. Not everyone who doesn't suck corporate haha is a dangerous person. Basically in every instance of the government approaching a somewhat group of is...

Interesting article there, if it's all true, then our government is so full on stupid, that we're screwed even if terrorists don't infiltrate anything.

I don't hate you, rather enjoy our disagreements. They get me thinking. I don't think you're a hateful person. Though there are some who share you're views that are violent and hateful. Gay bashing has been a huge problem here, that's not disagreement, that's hate. When you say gay people shouldn't have the same legal rights, that's discrimination regardless of the label we give to that right. ...

I missed that discussion, but that's exactly why it won't be implemented any time soon. It's really easy to make a fancy new thing like that. But it's just as easy it exploit it. It has to actually be relatively safe from tampering and as we advance in the technology age it gets a lot harder to make secure technologies.

Taxes plus donations equal confused

It occurred to me that's some of the most common complaints completely don't add up when you put them together.

1 the rich and big businesses are taxed too much
2 corrupt big business is hurting...

1930s Germany all over again?

So I was watching the History channel as I often do. Specifically one of their many shows covering WW2. Usually interesting piece of history as it has long lasting impacts that effect us to this...

Delicious forced child labor.

So cocoa is being produced by child slaves in Africa for the worlds chocolate supply. Who hasn't been savoring the decadenve produced by their sweat? Yay for world economies and exporting jobs. I...

Why is it always about money?

Seems like all I hear anymore is whether or not to tax the rich, we don't need to spend money on this or that, spending cuts, the deficit, national debt, all about money. Then comes some line about...
