So I have this good friend of mine that asked me to watch her cat
( HATE CATS), I said OK
Anyways...I watch her cat but my honey doesn't want me too cause cats are stinky and blah blah blah (REMIND YOU THAT I DON"T LIKE CATS).
I met the cat once...more like ....it met me by sleeping on the bed that I slept on at my friend house.
The cat is never really been around people and it's a loner cat but I should watch it cause my friend needs help.
So "WHO SHOULD CLEAN THE LITTER BOX"?

Hello missy. Now if you dislike cat why on earth would you agree to watch one. H0ow long does your friend plan to be gone? We had two cats at one time. We could be gone for up to three days with out having one do any thing except to check to be sure they hadn't spilled their water. We would prepare an extra litter box and extra food. So your friend should prepare an extra litter tray for every two days she plans to be gone with plenty of baking soda to take care of any stink.. Our cat thought they had to have a clean tray at least every two days.

hi missybear I am just playing catch up with reading and commenting on a lot of stuff.
Didnt know yet you hate cats. I love them and it would be wonderful if I could be cat sitting for someone. would gladly take this offer to get a little training in how to be a good can opener later when we have two kitties of our own so thats our dream.

I guess hate is a little to harsh, I just don't care for them, I'm a dog person.
Cats to me are unpredictable and just jump on you and scratch the hell out of you.

lol, missy bear. you are the one that has to clean the liter box. you are the one that took on the responsibility for your friend. i know. it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it.

There are these handy scoops that should do the trick if your friend isn't going to be gone that long..lol...if she is gone more than a week though...well..you might have to break down and do it. Are you keeping it at your house or just visiting at your friend's?

It would be at my place cause she's having company and needs the extra bedroom which the cat lives in.....I hate cat smell but her bedroom does not smell like cat at all and he's been living in there for about 3 years....ever since they got a dog

I don't understand why some people hate cats. They don't stink, neither do dogs. People actually stink more. But hey, what do I know. I think if you took the responsibility to watch her cat and the litter box is dirty, she should have told you to please clean it. It is really just like cleaning a diaper just in an animal kind of form. I have always looked at it that way. I'm glad you offered to watch the cat but if you familiarized yourself with them for awhile, and they are all different just like people, you might end up liking them one day. They have a right to a clean litter box just as you have one to a flushed toilet bowl.

Well they do bite--and also scratch. But a true cat lover knows they are only animals and to not love them just cause of this is not right. Maybe it just comes from experience and just a natural love for them but I have been bitten and scratched by many of them and I still love cats. They have their quirks like people do, as well. Bitten by my dog as a kid the first day we got him, still loved him for 15 years afterward. It takes a loving, caring, understanding person to know what cats are all about and us as humans and/or adults need to be patient with them.
