I am home from work and had a short day but exhausted (heavy lifting , and loading today).
I am making in routine to clean the cage (take it outside and basically hose it down and wipe the things) once a week, and then scoop everything out another time (mid week).
Its been spitting for a few hours here, and Im hoping it stops so I can unload the cage and let Marco to play around in my room while I clean it.

Cage cleaning day sounds familiar to me, though I have rats instead of a bunny.
I do it a little different though. I will clean their bedding, hose out the tray, and wipe down the shelves one day every week, but only take the WHOLE cage out and hose it down every 2 weeks. The bars not getting as dirty as the shelves.
I've been known to go out in the rain and do ti, as long as its not lightning.

I hope it does as well so that you can hose it down real well. Though don't you have a garage? While it won't SMELL good, your parents might allow you to hose it down in there and then hose the mess down the driveway a wee bit.

At first I was having love birds in my home and I sued to repair and clean the cage on each of the continuous six months. I used to make use of a broom and some tools to repair them and I needs to spent about two or more hours for it.

The cage wouldnt fit in the garage - my Dad has all his tools, and an antique truck he is rebuilding. I may wait until tomorrow but its been on and off all day so I may just do it between rain spirts.
