How do you feel about red-light cameras?

I appreciate you comment, though I have found that many law abiding citizens and citizens that are concerned about safety endorse that all yellow lights have a time of at least 3.5 seconds, which is often not the case. Not condoning breaking the law, but also not condoning the law being designed to trap its citizenry for profit.

Well, you always just stop at yellow light hehe. You can be able to tell if you're going to make it or not. And if you don't think you can make it then you can just stop.:)

I agree with this response. I lived in a town that had them and they did cut down on accidents. The city did a good job of reviewing the camera and not issuing tickets unless it was blatant that the person ran the light.

I appreciate your comment, and if there was a 3 second delay on cameras here, I perhaps would think a little differently, (probably not:), but that is not how the cameras work here; one of the reason it has been so controversial here. Very interesting to hear all of your thoughts, though.

I am sorry to disagree with you. I was given a ticket because I was making a left hand turn. I was in the middle of the road and had no choice but to turn on red. I recieved a ticket and my husband had to go to court to fight this because the car is in his name not mine. This is also dumb. I was driving not him. This is just another way to get money money money. That is all anyone cares about. The facts are that most of these cameras cause minor feder benders when someone stops on yellow instead of going threw. Oh, wait the government doesn't print that because that contridicts what they want you to believe.

Actually, there are cities exploring the idea of putting up cameras to catch smoking.
