|  Just don't know why a lot of people has not discovered fishing. They are missing a lot in their life by not fishing, where one experiences the fresh air, the serenity of the place, the connection with nature, the undisturbed quietness, the remoteness from other people and daily routines, the day long experience of waiting for a fish to bite and to sum it all, the laid back experience of every single fishing place that you visit for one's fishing.
But did I mention the excitement of getting a bite? The adrenalin rush when your fishing rod flickers and twitches? The start of the sport, the reeling experience of the fight with the fish, the tangles and twitches while reeling it in, and the exhilirating experience of landing it or the agony of losing it. That is where the wait pays off!
But, hey, a whole day of waiting is not all lost even if you don't land a single fish or if you just catch a small minnow. The experience I mentioned in my first paragraph is All There is To it!!

| |  I liked that! I know quite a few passionate fishermen.. It was nice to read something likely from their point of view! Maybe I'll pick it up someday! We go on a traditional trout fishing camping weekend every year, when the season opens. I just hang out while hubby fishes. It's nice.

| |  Well Eric, I love to be able to go fishing but I do not have time since I work. So in my case; you are so correct. Anyhow, I am going to slow down since I have been working for the last 25 years and so now... may be I can take off and go fishing sometimes. Thanks for the rude awakening topic!
