| 4. garfield8 (1659) | 2 years ago |  I have seen the movie and the end was scary. First of all, he wasn't really a phantom, but jsut a man who half side of the face was part ugly. Second when Christine's husband was old because Christine died first, he dropepd off the monkey by her grave and there was the rose by her grave. That was the creepy part. How in the world did that rose got there when he just dropped the monkey off?

| celestial_fantasia (365) | 2 years ago |  You obviously do not get it. You need to really know the whole story line of the movie for it to really make sence. It is an extremly romantic and yet tragic story. The book was great, as is the play by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Maybe go see that and then you will understand more. There never was a time that anyone suggested that he was a phantom, they thought it because he was mysterious and there. It is a great story.

| celestial_fantasia (365) | 2 years ago | It was and is the greatest play ever. I first say it when I was in 8th grade...MANY years ago. I have seen it 8 times and would go see it again and again. I couldn't wait for the movie to come out. Though I loved it, the movie could have been better. They should have had Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford (original Christine and Phantom) in there somewhere, obviously not playing their former roles, but in the movie. They made the play just as much as Andrew Lloyd Webber did. I also did not like that Carlotta's role was lip synced, rather annoying! | |

| 7. sharkbiter (244) | 2 years ago | I have saw both the movie and the Opera and thought they were Great. I prefer the original opera to the movie, but I thought they did a good job of it. The phantom which is actually a man as you heard with one side of his face distorted that lives below a paris opera house and falls in love with a ballerina whom he has convinced he is an angel of music. Over the years he has taught her to sing and trys to help her career in the opera, but when a childhood sweetheart shows up and wants to marry her it turns into a love triangle sort of thing. It is a very good movie I want tell all details, but well worth watching. And if you ever get the chance see the Opera itself. | |

| 9. gypsyintexas (40) | 2 years ago |  Oh yes! Though the book was a bit of a difficult read the movie was simply awesome! I actually fall asleep with the headphones on while listening to the CD. My 8 year old daughter loves the movie and knows all the songs and sounds pretty good singing them too...Christine of course is her fav but she loves Meg as well.
