Who have you seen in concert? |
| |
| Just wondering what pop/rock stars you've seen in concert and what were they like? Over the years some of the concerts I've been to include: Lionel Richie - Great concert but halfway through the concert he shouted "Hello London" even though he was in Dublin. Everyone laughed and I shouted back "That's ok Michael". LOL! Brittany Spears - Very disappointing. She jazzed some of her songs up and my two daughters didn't recognise the music at all. Michael Lee Roth - Good concert but MLR slipped on the stage and demanded that somebody come out and wipe it. David Bowie - Tour of the Glass Spider. It was brilliant. He's terrific. The Cranberries - Great concert. Randy Crawford - Really enjoyed her concert even though it was only a small concert. Michael Jackson - Absolutely spectacular concert and I'll never forget all the children coming out on to the stage and singing "We are the world" Steve Earle - I'd never heard of Steve Earl until I won tickets to his show. I was really impressed. Melissa Etheridge - I won tickets to this concert too and bought her cds afterwards because I liked her music so much. Chris de Burgh - I was just 14 when I went to this concert. It was great, obviously, because it was my first concert. I fainted twice and wasn't let back in the second time. I'm going to see Dolly Parton next March and I'm really looking forward to it. If anyone else has seen her in concert, I'd love to hear about it. | | | | | |

| | Melissa Etheridge, I saw her cause my friend invited me to the concert.I had only heard one of her songs prior to going. It was an okay concert. Kenny G, twice. I really enjoyed this concert. Luther Vandrose was there too. The Temptations, just saw them two years ago. They sing one of my favorite songs. Color Me Bad, I don't remember to much about that one though. | | | | | | |

| | Hmm lets see if I can remember them all.. ~ Barenaked Ladies/ Five For Fighting and Dakota Moon goog concert..really liked Five for Fighting. ~ Von Ray x3 (each time I've seen them, they always put on an awesome show) ~ Ludacris/Jarule/ Ashanti..not my favorite concert. ~ Dave Matthews Band (Amzing) ~ Gavin DeGraw and Howie Day (The best concert I've been to, I got to actually meet Gavin and get my picture taken with him) ~ Lifehouse (Great show, they did their music acousticly) ~ Duran, Duran (It was a good concert, but left me feeling disapointed) ~ AFI (Awesome time at the concert, didn't care for the other bands on tour with AFI though) | | | | | | |

| | The first concert I ever went to was Garbage, at a small venue in 2001. It was excellent. We were all moshing on the floor, since there was no seating except above in the 21+ area, and I was only about 20ft from the stage. The only other concert I've been to was...Avril Lavigne. I had different tastes when I was younger. >_> It was in a huge venue and I way away, but it was still fun. One that I would love to go to, if the songs she churns out continue to be as good as I think they are, is a Shakira concert. | | | | | | |

Awesome shows: Cinderella, Bon Jovi (both times!), Def Leppard, Motley Crue (all 4 times!), Scorpions, White Lion, Stryper, Van Halen (w/ Sammy, both times), Sammy Hagar (solo), Poison (rocked socks both times!), Warrant, Firehouse, Crosby Stills Nash & Young (musical history!), Bad Company (all 3 times), Damn Yankees (all three times), Ted Nugent (solo, both times), Joan Jett (friggin rocked both times!), Cheap Trick, Lynyrd Skynyrd (kicked friggin arse all 3 times!), Foghat,Skid Row Not so great shows: The Toadies (before they were popular), DeGarmo & Key, Billy Joel (very disappointing, drunk & screwing up his own lyrics!!), Faster Pussycat, Journey (without Steve Perry!! The drummer sounds better than whoever they had singing lead at Verizon last summer!!!),Ma Kelly I feel like I'm forgetting some, if I remember any more, I'll be back, lol. | | | | | | |

| | You've been to see some great bands. Lynyrd Skynyrd are legend! You're so lucky you got to see them. When I went to see David Lee Roth in concert someone asked for a Van Halen song and he shouted "I AM Van Halen". God, he was so full of himself. Maybe that's why he slipped on the stage. Pride comes before a fall. | | | |

| | I have seen alot of artists some wich I won´t even post since you probably won´t recognize them - but here are some. Michael Jackson (History) GREAT, wonderful amazing concert.. never will forget it. 3T, Michael Jacksons Nephews along with tito jackson. I had a crush on 2 of the guys so it was great =) *he he he* Robbie Williams - also a great concert, probably the biggest artist after Michael. Don´t know how well he´s doing in america though Same goes for westlife whom I also saw =) Madonna, also a great show, although I was a bit dissapointed since she almost didn´t sing any "old" songs! Hmm, that´s all i can remember right now - however I will gte back if i remember more! | | | | | | |

| | I've been to lots of concerts. But a couple of my favorites were. Boy George...at the time I was infatuated with him and couldn't believe how big he was in real life. I had a front row seat and got to shake his hand....I was thrilled. Cindi Lauper...that was great because it was at a very small night club with only about 200 people. As Billie Idol was playing on the big screen, I wormed my way up to the stage. It was great to be standing right there in front of the stage. I also love going to Yes concerts because they had a great light show. | | | | | | |

| | I wouldn't have been into Boy George, but Cyndi Lauper was great. These days I prefer small concerts, or at least somewhere I can sit down. | | | |
