Do Horror Movies Scary You? If Yes Which Movie Scared You Most?  

eheeh me too I had about that age when I saw that movie. It's one of best Horror movie ever!

well most horror movies that I have seen do not scare me the last horror movie I saw to make me stay up and not be able to fall assleep was the sixth sense when I watched it I was not scared but when I was just laying in bed I just kept thinking about that movie and couldnt fall assleep the only part that scared me was when the kid saw the dead person in the kitchen that part freaked me out a bit.

Great films! they're one of my favourites. Older movies I think are better than new ones. Old style affascinate me, expecially movie that do the atmosphere without using too much special effects.

Children of the corn didnt scary me, I didn't like it so much. I never see When A Stranger calls back. I hope it will be good,I've to see it

Well...after reading your response, it seems that I have seen more horror movies than I had thought...A few that I can think of, although I am not sure if they are considered horror, would be SAW, Texas Chainsaw Massacres, Seven (although that is not too scary, and it is not in the 2000's ). And another older one would be Chukie...and all the ones that followed.

very good films you listed! I haven't seen all of them.
Of your list I love the Ring, sleepy hollow, the blair witch project (i bought the 2nd episode dvd lately), dracula, the sixth sense,the cube. The rocky horror picture show I dont classify it as horror film, it is more comedy musical.
After 2000, i think a good new movie is "the Saw"'s saga. I didnt watch the the Saw 3 but I think will be great! then Queen of the damned (great soundtrack too). I liked the grudge (japanese version). Right now I don't remember other good films after 2000. If i will I'll tell you. Some days I bought a collection of dvd of the horror classic. They're 18 dvds with the sagas of Dracula (with Bela Lugosi), Frankentsein and Werewolf, the invisible man, the mummy. They're the first ones of about 30's. They're very old but very good.
Check it out this is the box collection I bought, but it is a bit different because in mine there 18 dvds.

then one of the best is Nosferatu by Mournau. Even if it is mute it is great and have a cool soundtrack.It was the prototype of horror movies.

Yes man, i know that but it´s very long time i saw the movie IT, have to watch it again i think, do not remember much, i wanted to read the book but not till yet´, maybe one day...it´s sure very good.

yes the book will be even better than the film. I forgot too the movie. I remember well some frames like the blood ballon :)

The horror classic that you mention´d on you´re DVD´s are great, i´ve seen the most of them years ago. They sometimes show up in TV allways good watching them again.
Do you know the movies they made from Edgar Allen Poe storys like The Fall Of The House Of Usher, or The Pendulum, mostly Vincent Price stars as actor in them their also classics.

I like allan poe style, but I didn't know about those movies.

I'm fine mate, hope the same for you. One day I want to see all this movies you said. I love classics. I've to see some movies that I bought, all I need is just time. The next movie I've and I havent seen yet is "The Stand", it inspired from the Stephen King book. it's a post apocaliptyc horror movie. Maybe you already know it.

Yes i know the title and it was on tv in 2 parts but i missed it, well maybe i see it the next time. yeah i know sometimes times runing to fast man, but i tell ya´ i see forward to see the movie IT again.

yes it is a very long movie. It is 172 minutes each dvd. they are 2 dvds. In fact I will wait the right moment to watch them in a row! It's been lot of time they don't trasmit "IT" in tv. Let's hope it will be soon.

Yes your right, thinking about that fact it´s very true i haven´t seen it in our tv for endless long time, i think the last time i saw it was in the early 90´s, what a long time´.
I think i´ll lend it on DVD from the video store.

Well we have a very good video store with a lot of DVD´s also from earlier were you can lend them. I´m sure the guy has that movie.

....nowdayz horror movies do not satisy our needs,instead they luk like sum stupid comedy movies.take movies like grudge and ring,they never sounded like horror movies except the sound effects.in reality the old movies were really nice n kewl,they are worth for the money than the new ones.movies like OMEN(the first part),EXCORIST those were the golden ages newayz movies like saw triolgy and final destination are the movies which proves tat horror movies cud be took nowdayz also.well sixth sense was one hell of a movie!!!!

I'm not so agree with you because I loved the grudge and the ring, they re quite psychologcal.

I must agree on spprasana´s picking out the first part of OMEN that´s a great and a classic in this genre, nearly forgotten that one.
But yes jamz, psycological horror is great i agree with you, The Ring was a great movie to watch also The Cube just saw it again this week in tv.

I haven't seen yet Omen the original one, Lately they did a sequel of that movie, but I heard it isn't as much cool as th e first one!.
