| |
| I am an horror movies lover. Horror movies doesn't scary me, but when I was a little kid I was scared for a lot of time by Stephen King's "IT" movie. After watching that film I used to imagine the clown popping up everywhere in my room. That was great! I want to watch "it" movie again. It's about more 15 years i don't see it, I want to see if I will be scared again:P I think the book of stephen king must be interesting too, it is very big but a friend of mine told me that scare more than the movie. Now I ask you Do Horror Movies Scary You? If Yes Which Movie Scared You Most? | | Pennywise Clown | | | | |

| | I actually fully understand exactly what your saying with pennywise as I remember first seeing this excellent film when I was about maybe I think 7-8 at the time. Although I have never actually been frightened by a motion picture. Clowns on the whole though can be perceived as quite sinister. | | | | | | |

| | There aren't too many that scare me (and I have seen tons), especially the newer ones. Two movies that did scare me though are "The Exorcist", and "The Shining". There is something about the little girl twins in the shining that just freaks me out | | | | | | |

| | Great films! they're one of my favourites. Older movies I think are better than new ones. Old style affascinate me, expecially movie that do the atmosphere without using too much special effects. | | | |

| | I do recall that movie it was pretty scary. I can recall being really scared of Children of the Corn and When a Stranger calls Back (the original pt 2). I don't really remember why I was scare of children of the corn. But I can tell you the suspense of When a Stranger calls Back was to much for me to bear as a youngster. | | | | | | |

| | As i told you in the other discussion i´m a fan of older horror movies, so the old ones would be: The Fog, The Thing, Halloween(first part), Wolfen, Alien, American Werewolf, Hellraiser,Carrie, Amyitiville Horror, The Fly, Return of the Living Death, Poltergeist, Invasion of the body snatchers, the Evil Dead and The Shining i guess there´s more but these came in my mind. I would say the first Halloween movie is the mother of horror, and in sci-fi-horror the first Alien is the best and not to top till today. newer ones would be: The Ring, Sleepy Hollow, Blair Witch Project, Bram Stocker´s Dracula, The sixth sense, and the cube... i think i haven´t seen any new horror movie after 2000, well at the moment i can´t name one, that´s funny.. lol Do me a favour, name me some godd horror movies from after 2000!!! ps. i think The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a very creepy and unique horror movie. | The Rocky Horror Picture Show

| | Well...after reading your response, it seems that I have seen more horror movies than I had thought...A few that I can think of, although I am not sure if they are considered horror, would be SAW, Texas Chainsaw Massacres, Seven (although that is not too scary, and it is not in the 2000's ). And another older one would be Chukie...and all the ones that followed. | | | |

| | very good films you listed! I haven't seen all of them. Of your list I love the Ring, sleepy hollow, the blair witch project (i bought the 2nd episode dvd lately), dracula, the sixth sense, the cube. The rocky horror picture show I dont classify it as horror film, it is more comedy musical. After 2000, i think a good new movie is "the Saw"'s saga. I didnt watch the the Saw 3 but I think will be great! then Queen of the damned (great soundtrack too). I liked the grudge (japanese version). Right now I don't remember other good films after 2000. If i will I'll tell you. Some days I bought a collection of dvd of the horror classic. They're 18 dvds with the sagas of Dracula (with Bela Lugosi), Frankentsein and Werewolf, the invisible man, the mummy. They're the first ones of about 30's. They're very old but very good. Check it out this is the box collection I bought, but it is a bit different because in mine there 18 dvds. then one of the best is Nosferatu by Mournau. Even if it is mute it is great and have a cool soundtrack. It was the prototype of horror movies. | | | |

| | The horror classic that you mention´d on you´re DVD´s are great, i´ve seen the most of them years ago. They sometimes show up in TV allways good watching them again. Do you know the movies they made from Edgar Allen Poe storys like The Fall Of The House Of Usher, or The Pendulum, mostly Vincent Price stars as actor in them their also classics. | | | |

| | I do not watch a lot of horror movies, I usually have to get dragged into watching them. Or, I will because that is the only type of movie my friends want to see at the time, so I am stuck watching it, if I want to go to the movies too, or just spend my day off at home. So I usually end up going... When I was a kid, IT, was really the only horror movie I had seen, and since then, I have never been to fond of clowns. I never finished the movie, sometimes I wish I would, we'll see. The part I always see in my mind is the blood in the bathroom, from the faucet and the toilet. Plus the blood in the gutter. Over the years, I have watched some more horror movies, but I try to forget as many as I can, that way I won't be scared.:) | | | | | | |

| | I'm also a horror fan. If you're no longer scared by horror movies i think you're watching the wrong ones. Try to avoid blood & gore and watch psychological thriller / horror. I can recommend "The Shutter" if you haven't seen it already. I think Japanese series are pretty scary - The Ring, The Grudge, etc. Apart from those it was one movie that scare the hell out of me and i was nearly 30 y.o. when i've seen it - The Blair Witch Project 1. | | | | | | |
