Nikon or Canon? |
| |
| For photography enthusiasts, there is still a long-waging battle between Nikon SLR camers or Canon SLRs. Which do you think is best and why? I'd like to invest in a good SLR camera soon. | | | | | |

| | Doesn't the space depend on the size of the card you're using though? This comments make very little sense.. | | | |

| | I also prefer Nikon, althought it is much more expensive that Canon. I feel that Nikon is a vry trustworthy company. But Ive seen some work of photographers using Canon, and it was breathtaking. Its really difficult to choose between the tqo brands. My advice is that you choose excellent optics for the lenses, all of the camera bodies are worthless if you dont have fast "glas"! | | Yeah, a lot of reviews seem to say you get more for your money with Canon, but that ultimately, Nikon is better. I've had so many Nikons and just a few Canons (not SLRs though, but high end video and also some film point and shoots). I'm thinking I'll stick with a Nikon on my next purchase. | | | |

| | Last February I bought the Digital Canon Rebel.I absolutely loved it. But since my husband's job started working him more and I didn't have much time for my photography I wanted something that was easier for every day use. I just recently switched (November) to a Fuji Finepix s6000fd. I am totally satisfied w/ this camera. I love the face detection and lots of other features it has on it versus the Canon | | | | | | |

| | I like that Nikon seems to be ever so slightly better on macro. But it would depend what you want the camera for. I'm looking into buying another SLR soon, and still can't decide between Canon and Nikon. I think I'll go with Nikon though so that I don't need to buy more lenses right away. | | | | | | |

| | Nikon and Canon both offer what is the best that is in terms of Digital Photography. If you are one to commence your journey to Digital World with this kind of decision then it would be one you would make in your lifetime.Let me be precise Nikon and Canon both are equally good in overall performance, and this i am telling you from my own experience( Used previously Canon DSLR EOS D20 and now am using Nikon D80). Picture quality, megapixels, agility of usage and other specs (ISO,WB,Braketing etc) are all comparable of one to the other. Both fair equal. Canon has full image sensor though which Nikon lacks. But let me tell you that Digital SLRs work in a different way then compact Digital Cameras. Here in the world of DSLRs, axiom holds that its not the Camera itself which generates Exceptional Pics but the LENSE on it. Thats true. Both these companies offer bodies and lenses separately or Kits( having bodies alongwith specified lense) My experience says that it is Nikon which surpasses the Canon with slim edge in over all performance. But then there are resources which you must exploit before deciding what to buy, as everyones needs are different.I would suggest you go for reviews on dpreview.com and check out flickr.com ( see their camera explorer) for getting to know both first. But i would suggest that you dont jump to conclusion outrightly. Go through Rockwells reviews also at his website. He also offers reviews on Performance and quality of lenses too. Take my word its not the camera but the lense which matters. The company which has the best lense for your purpose is the one that is good to choose.Call me for more if you want on my page | | | | | | |

| | I myself just got a Nikon D50. Canon is just as good as Nikon. Features are more or less the same. Just go to a store and handle both cameras and see which one feels the best. | | | | | | |

| | Personally, I've only ever used a Canon and I loved it. However, shots were often blurry if there wasn't enough light. Or even if you judged there to be, a tiny movement and again, blur.. | | | | | | |
