My neighbors tried to kill my dogs!!

I get furious to see people trying to harm animals let alone dogs.In this case, after being assured that the pets were harmless, the neighbours went ahead and tried to feed antifreeze. Now that is really a disturbing episode and I suggest you better look out for your pets and your kids as well. As for the neighbours why don't you invite them over for dinner and mix the same antifreeze in their dishes? That way you'd be able to conclude what effect it has on humans as well. Am sure the sheriff will understand too.

But jokes apart, people who don't have sympathy for animals do not deserve to be a part of our society. All of them should be quarantined somewhere in the deepest jungles of Africa where they'd be at the mercy of some really bad and short tempered animals. I wonder what the animals would feed them with. Its a different thing when the neighbours were scared of the fact that the pets might be violent and harmful to them, but am sure its not the first time they've come across pets!!!

In a nutshell, people who don't have sympathy for animals do not deserve any sympathy from the rest of the mankind.

well i think that what they attemted to do is outright murder and yes anti freeze will not only kill humans but it will also kill dogs.that said if the law cannot take course then i think taht you should approach the animal organisations and you should also set up a few Security Cameras around your house.these cameras shooudl be set up in such a manner that you are able to cover the entire fence perimeter.
this way if anyone tries to do anything you can catch them in the act or in the least you will have proof!

well, my neighbors DID kill my dog..it's sad because i couldn't prove it,but i know they did it because one day they actually said they hate dogs...I dont know what you could do,but try to find a way to keep your dogs safe. I wish you good luck

I agree that a camera or video recorder is the best way to catch these people. You can get a camera that takes pictures when it senses motion or a video recorder and set them up our of sight to your neighbors. Stalkers have been caught in the act this very same way and legal action was taken against them. I'd also make a copy of the pictures or the film (tape or dvd) before handing it over to the sheriff because these things can get lost. I wouldn't take any chances. You could also set your camera or video recorder to record the time and date on your pictures or film so that you have that as well. Best of luck to you and your dogs.

Call animal rights

well my cat was killed by antifreeze poisoining years ago by some freaks who lived down the street from me who claimed my cat bit her. He was gone for a few days and we saw him sitting in their driveway in a cage and they said they were going to take him to have his head cut off and checked for rabies. i think NOT. they also had a cat and i told him that how was i suppose to know it was my cat and not THEIRS??? and they said 'well our cat doesnt bite' and i said 'mine doesnt either'. So before long, our cat was laying in the garage floor dead by antifreeze. If i was you, i'd make sure you watch your dogs at all times and inspect the areas they go to in the yard all the time and make its not there. Anyone who can kill an innocent animal just because of its breed needs a dose of antifreeze themselves!!!!

OMG thats horrible! I'd maybe set up a camera at night to catch them.:(
