My neighbors tried to kill my dogs!!

Antifreeze will kill them. You need to approach your neighbours about the issue. Maybe you can hand them the dish you found and say 'Missing something?' You have to tell them that you are watching them. you know what they are doing, and that if they try it again you'll all the cops.

What a barbaric thing to do... not agree with your breed of dog, so try and kill them both? They sound crazy to me.

that really very sad, I always think how one can be so cruel, people like this should be punished.

Poor doggies! Just tell them quietly to leave you and your dogs alone and that you know they gave them antifreeze, tell them it's very cruel and threaten you will call the police if they do it again!

This is a hard one to respond to. . .I understand both sides of the situation. Even though you haven't seen your dog Exhibit any kind of violence doesn't mean he/she is incapable of it. You see it over and over again in the news where the owner says "my dog never did this before,etc."
The only solutions I can think of are to always go out with your dogs and check the perimeter of your yard to make sure there is nothing in your yard to harm them. I don't think you need to stay out with your dogs after that because I think your neighbors are to afraid of the dogs to stick their arms under your fence while the dogs are out and about.

Outside of that is there any chance you can move? I know this is extremem but I'm also a dog lover and know that I would do almost anything for their safety?

i'm sorry to say this but...a dog is an animal...animals are unpredictable. even your pitbull, while it may be the nicest thing in the world to you it would probably kill someone else if provoked. one of my old roommates had one and claimed that it wouldn't hurt a fly, however, every time i was near her, the dog became very, very protective of her. it's true that all dogs are protective of their masters, but there are only a few dogs that can do a lot of damage, one of them being a pitbull.

it's a sad world when your neighbors attempt to murder your animal though, and they should be punished for it. i would take the antifreeze to your neighbors house and ask if they did it.

I agree with the camera idea. Then, if you catch them, and they are charged, I would also file a civil suit against them for enough to cover the cost of the camera equipment.

antifreeze causes the kidneys in dogs to fail it does not take much either and they say it is sweet to them .I am sorry to hear people would do this it is a very painful way to kill a dog .I have heard of people soaking food in it also and dog food so be very carefull .

I know! People are just so scared of Pitbulls I dont understand why! I mean I know their jaws lock and all, but that will only happen if they are triggered by something they dont like. Im a dog breeder and I can honestly say that a pitbull is not only one of the smartest of dogs, but they are also one of the sweetest, if not the sweetest of them all. And its really true. Some people just stereotype. They didn't know that cats are more dangerous sometimes because even their claws have rabies. If youre good to dogs, they wont bite and theyll protect you even more.
