My partner's birthday is Valentine's day. So we don't celebrate Valentine's day. And the way I am feeling with him lately, I am not getting him anything for his birthday at this point! LOL I say that, but I know what I do everytime. I end up getting him something anyways. *sigh* LOL

I normally get my wife a boque delivered by a florest on valentines day. and then with that delivery I get a small stuffed animal for my daughter. This year I might not get anything due to the move and not having a job. I hope I do have a job real quick after I move.

I'll usually make a card and then buy him his favorite snack treat. Also, I'll probably make a healthy dessert to eat after our dinner out.

Goodness, you are efficient, aren't you. I hadn't even thought about Valentine's Day yet. I'm still getting over Christmas. Sometimes we get something for each other, and other times we buy ourselves a joint gift together.

My boyfriend and I don't really celebrate valentines day, so we don't bother with gifts. One of usu usually ends up having to work any way. The only valentines gifts that I buy are for my kids.

I always like to spoil my hubby, whenever i have the occasion. This year, i was thinking of putting up a gift basket for him, with fun stuff. I'm also gonna prepare his fave meal, set the table with candles, and make a romantic love songs cd.

My hubby and i usally just exchange cards, sometimes hell bring me home flowers. With the kids we give them each a card and usally something small, we try to stay away from giving them candy.

I usually only get something pretty small, like a candle. Nothing too expensive.

I haven't thought about this yet. Being unemployed I'm a little bit short of cash, but I'll have to come up with something. We were thinking of taking a long weekend and going to Vegas the weekend after Valentine's Day- I think that's his surprise for me. At least I hope it is! LOL If that's the case then I'll have to get him something...

Well, Our anniversary is the first of February, so we try not to overspend that month (that's easier in theory than in practice usually). But My hubby just got a new job, so i'll problably get him some things he can use there. He will (hopefully) get me the usual, sappy romantic card, roses, and a box of dove truffles. Mmm

My hubby and I exchange cards. Sometimes he'll surprise me and send me a bouquet of lillies (my favorite flower). We put together little baskets for our children. Our girls make Valentines for their school friends as well.

I celebrate lightly with my kids. My "male friend" as I prefer to call it.. lol... and I won't celebrate as he's out of the country on business. If he were here locally I'm sure we'd rent a movie and maybe I'd make him a nice dinner or something, but maybe not. It's just not a big day for me, nor has it ever been .. with or without a 'significan other'. It's always been a 'fun' day with my kids... treats that are heart shaped and little gifts.

I'm making gift baskets for my family, friends and coworkers. Here's a sample: Valentine Bark Any assortment of Valentine's candy can be used in this recipe with great results - message hearts, cream filled chocolate hearts and small cinnamon hearts. 1 pound white chocolate, semisweet chocolate, or milk chocolate 2 cups assorted Valentine's Day candy Line a large jellyroll pan with parchment or wax paper and set aside. Melt the chocolate in a large heavy saucepan over very low heat or in a microwave, stirring frequently until the chocolate is smooth and melted. Spread the melted chocolate evenly on the prepared pan. Sprinkle the candy evenly over the chocolate and press the candy into the chocolate to make sure it will not fall out later. Set aside the chocolate to cool. Once the chocolate has set, break into small pieces. Store the bark in a tightly sealed container at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Wrap the candy in plastic wrap or brightly colored cellophane and tie into small bundles with bright ribbon for gift giving. Add a special tag or Valentine to each little bundle. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds candy.
