A lobster named Eddie has his own fan club at his local pub in Wiltshire.
Eddie was bought as a Christmas present by his owner. The people in his pub thought that he was crazy or drunk to want one, but once he brought the lobster into work they all loved him.
Eddie's owner now intends to buy a female so that the lobsters can breed.
He also plans to set up a website (which I wish were in place now - I'd check it out! *laugh*) so that you can check on Eddie's progress! ^_^
Eddie also appears to have a lucky streak. His owner bought him a bunch of raffle tickets in the local pub draw, and he won seven prizes, including beer and a lemon! LOL! I don't know what use Eddie will have for such things, but nevertheless I find it amusing! ^_^

We have all heard of strange and unusual pets, but a lobster is certainly the oddest that I have encountered. I would be hard pressed to attempt to compete with that.
When he finally acquires a female, I wonder if he will call her SHELLEY?

A lobster as a pet? Nah...not for me. I would want to eat it. People do all sorts of crazy things. Why not own a lobster.

Well soon as I read it was a pub, I lost my shock, LOL. Pubs seem to collect funny individuals with their own superstitions. I think that is the appeal of pubs.

I think that is hilarious. I don't have anything to tell as hilarious or interesting as Eddie. I had a friend in Saigon in the 70's who had a 6 ft.+ boa constrictor named Ho Chi Minh as a pet. I actually touched the thing and was absolutely amazed how cool and dry he was. +

WOW out of all little creatures running around a lobster which people do eat...Yes, very lucky lobster and very interesting pet as well..It's cool though to see someone really into taking care of such knowing it's not heard of...thanks for sharing...
