Instead can you just do the following which costs you nothing?
1. Do exercise -brisk walking/swimming/jogging for 1 hour
2. In the evening try to do dumbles/ static cycling / treadmill for 30 minutes
3. Keep your mind clear by jotting down the works you have to do next day.
Physical fatigue from exercise will result in sound sleep. Why spend money on tablets and get additional diseases or disorders?

I don't realy care for sleeping pills. I have tried them and I found that even though they did help me get to sleep I felt run down and just off the next day. I prefer to just use natural methods of getting to sleep. The one that works really well for me is rudding my tummy. I know it sounds simple but it really relaxes me.

My son used to do that - rubbing the tummy, doctors said that should not be done. Just check it up and adopt some other safer method to get physical fatigue to put you in sound sleep. I liked your frank opinion on sleeping pills. One should know thatany pills or medicines are only for a temporary relief.

There is nothing like determination to live better which is nothing but make the thoughts through controlled mind. Still I feel you can avoid taking paills by doing some physical exercises which creates natural tiredness of the body and try and get good sleep. Thanks for the response.

I dont take pills. It is very difficult to fall asleep SSH. This is due to a lot of things in my mind. When i go to bed my mind wanders and some times for hours i am just staring at the fan (LOL). Anyway, i started praying and meditating since of late. It is effective.

I dont take sleeping pills to fall asleep. I never consider taking pills a healthy habbit. Instead i listen to music and most of the times i read a book till i really fall tired and my eyes can no more read and then i fall asleep. I find it very nice when i will be able to fall asleep as soon as i lue on the bed and it happens mostly when i eat a lot of food before going to bed. I agree with you that brisk walking in the evening is a very good tip.

I agree with you ssh123, I also do that thing, I almost everyday go to gym at 6pm - 8pm, after from gym take a dinner and rest a little, after that take a bath, and get to bed pretty easy, and the most I like is, after gyming, my body feel fresh but tired, but if you allready told by the health concelor to take a sleep pil, than you should take it also, since I think there is some meaning on it.

I have to take a sleeping pill on the nights I go to work because I have to nap before work. I just use over-the-counter light pills which just help me get to sleep little faster. I know I need to exercise more but I have never found that it helps me sleep better.

Because of various problems,my doctor has had me on sleeping pills for quite a while now.If I forget to take the meds,I do not fall asleep until I get up and check to see if I did take them or not(they are in blister packs).
My body recognizes when I have not taken them.

I feel if continuously one is on pill, it does not auger well health and money point of view. If there any problem if carrying out exercises to get physical fatigue that puts you to sound sleep? Do you have any worries that is preventing you to sleep? What exactly is the doctor's version for sleeplessness?

I don't usually take a sleeping pill when I have trouble sleeping. I will either get up and do something else, or I will try to meditate and clear my mind of worries. Great advice.
