Who has seeds started?  

You have brought back some nice memories of my Dad now he has a greenhouse and every year he got all his seeds and compost and loved to tend them and watch them grow , sadly he has Alzheimers now and has forgoten how to do it xx

Oh me too, can't wait but looking at a foot of snow and subzero temperatures it's going to be awhile before I can start my garden. Most often I get impacient and start them in my kitchen which works because often that means I get tomatoes before anyone else in the area :)

My husband saves his hot peoper seeds and starts them growing in the house. So we have lots ofsmall plants growing now.

I start to get really antsy for spring too, so I can plant things too.

You got that right old dude, I can hardly wait till spring. My herb garden has been growing in my closet for the last 3 months and really needs to get out in the sun where it can muster up some vitality. The best time of the year for herbs is that august red sun. Oh Yeah!

I started sorting through my seeds a few days ago and gathering up windowsill containers!

Ya know when I was still in Canada we always bought the baby plants rather than starting from seed but I'm seriously considering doing that (starting from seed) this yr...I'd like to give it a try at least and I think it'd be cheaper to do it that way too wouldnt it?

Wintersowing is a method of starting seeds in containers, eg. 2 litre pop bottles and sticking them outside to sleep under the snow until conditions are right to start sprouting. No lights needed, no dampening off, no hardening off.
This works with most type of plants, the only thing I start indoors now is my coleous. That is mainly because I need something green and growing in my house in Febuary.

So what kind of seed did you order?

I'm not ordering because I saved from my garden but maybe I'll buy some here and there from seed racks.
