Do you think animals have a sense of humour?

The reason I ask this, is because last night I had a dream about some cats that scratched people really hard and I asked the owner (who is the woman I work beside in real life) why they did it and she said it was because they thought it was funny. It got me thinking, do animals have a sense of humour in any form?

yes i think they have...
my cat always plays with me, she uses to hide behind furnitures and jump when I call her...
I think it is the way she jokes with me, nd it is funny to see her jumpin'all arond my home when i run after her!

Oh yes - definately! My cat Frodo has a great sense of fun!!! When he plays his eyes sparkle, and he is always up to mischief, and also always looking at me to see my reaction - just like a naughty child!!! And when I was growing up, my parents had a dog called Luke, who loved it if you sang to him, and danced!!! His tail used to wag, and he would jump around, and join in with you, and I swear he was laughing!!!

I think my cats thought it was highly amusing to wake me up at 5.45am this morning. One of the our cats is not allowed out because she's had an op, so we have to monitor the catflap for the other three. Anyhow the tabby woke me up wanting to go out I came down bleary eyed and he was standing at the door waiting to go out as soon as I opened it for him he scarpered! I was not best pleased and went back up to bed crawl in, ten minutes later I heard more scratching, cursing I got up went down and the other cat was scratching to get out, I opened the catflap for her, she sat there and looked at me, with a glint in the eye I'm sure, she made no effort to go out. I was standing there in just my underwear waiting for her to make her mind up! In the end I gave up and they got there way and I couldn't go back to bed again. I'm sure they had a right old laugh between them! I bet one of them bet their share of purina that they could get me up! Mmm I wasn't amused even if they were!

I hope the other cat is ok after his/her op. Sounds like they were playing games. Here's another wonder, I wonder if animals feel tired just after they wake up? I f you think about dogs, they can go from being sound asleep to wide awake in no time and they never seem tired.

I firmly believe that animals have a sense of humour. Particularly domesticated animals like dogs. My parents have a dog named Lucy and she is a 3 year old beagle. She has the best personality and she smiles alot. When she was a puppy she used to play with me alot and she would jump up and play with her mouth. It was all fun and games until she ripped my shirt with her puppy teeth. She thought it was funny cause she had a really happy look about her face. I was not the one laughing though. But I guess she didnt think it was funny when she went running through the house and into the back door when it was closed and she did not know. I was laughing so much but she wasnt.....animals have personalities and sense of humour too. They are just like us - they sleep and eat and rest like us, they have their good days and bad and they have fun just like us too.

Do animals actually smile? I hope you forgave her for ripping your shirt. That must have been funny seeing her run into the back door. The woman I work beside said she had two cats, one was fat and the other was small and the fat one used to pretend that the small one had knocked it over for a a laugh.

yes i have watched lots of videos of funny looking and funny acting animals....they have this natural kind of sense of humor that somehow makes us laugh.of course they are not aware that they have this sense of humor, its the one who watches these animals with their actions.

In that case, you're saying that they don't have a sense of humour, it's us that find them funny..
