Writing for greeting card companies is a lot of fun. Here is a link to a writer's market that has all the guidelines, their addresses, and information for all of the different greeting card companies. (You will be amazed at how many there are!) When you find a place that you think your material would fit, go to their site for additional guidelines, and what they are looking for. They usually have approximates on how much you would earn, how many to submit at a time, and whether they accept submissions over the internet. Also, some things have to be submitted a few months in advance of the holiday. Good luck!
Copy and past this whole following url into your browser. The space allotted here won't let me put the whole thing so it will come out all in one line, lol! (Watch, after I hit 'submit' here, it probably will)

Do a search online for greeting card companies. Many of them accept freelance submissions, and post their guidelines on their websites.

Have you made any progress? I've been tempted by a few online, although I don't like the policy of "View than buy" of course, I realise why that policy is in place, I just see there's little stopping someone from using it regardless.

Recycled Greetings (humorous cards) seems to get a lot of their work from freelancers... recycledgreetings.com. Their site says they want images and text together, so you can't just send them copy . You'll need to draw your illustration idea or get someone to do it, or maybe learn to use a basic computer graphics program.
Does Blue Mountain require freelancers to submit art as well, or can you just submit copy?
