How Do You Like "Vista"?

I dislike vista terribly. It's too new and it's not compatible to anything. Vista sucks raw eggs. Microsoft needs to do better and stop using the general public as "guinea pigs". Bill Gates is treating us like "suckas". Like taking candy from a baby.

I have always supported both Bill Gates and Microsoft, but this time I have to agree with you. Vista has major compatability issues with both hardware and software programs, and should never have been released in such a condition. The greatest concern is that the hardware manufacturers will not produce drivers for products that are now a few years old, so anyone wishing to use Vista on an older machine will need to upgrade sound cards, ROM drives and numerous other components.

I haven't personally used Vista but my daughter recently purchased a lap top computer with vista installed and she couldn't use it. So she called the technical team for Vista and the technical team for the Tobshiba computer company and they wouldn't help without her paying a fee for the answers. So she returned the computer. I don't think that the computer company charged her, for they called her back the next day, but too late, she'd returned the computer to the store.

I have heard alot of negative things about the vista lately. A tech had one installed on a work computer and he says it takes up way too much room to even bring up the home page and that it is very touchy and hard to figure out..If you have or are not real familiar with computers he suggests not to get it for you wont be able to do have the things you can now cause it is so high tech..I know all the new computers will have it but when I get my new one I will make sure that windows xp will be installed or I wouldn't get it as of yet. I think that it still has alot of bugs that they don't know about yet and always the first one out has problems..

The only thing Vista has going for it is that it's very pretty. Seriously, it can't do anything that Windows XP can't do. It's hardware compatibility is maybe a step up from Linux, but not enough to be a popular operating system. If they don't fix it fast it'll be another disaster like that Windows Me fiasco in the year 2000.

I like the display of VISTA, but before you used it you must first have a highest specs of PC, it needs a 1GB memory or higher than that.

I purchased a brand new laptop with VISTA and was highly disappointed. So I returned the laptop to the store for a full refund. VISTA sucks and is terribly frustrating!

I saw it personally in my tech class. Not at all impressive, and seems to be just an excuse to force people to upgrade their machines totally for the computer market's benefit.

Vista is great for a newer comp. But it does use a lot of space so older models tend to bog down a lot. As far as the hardware & software issues you can always go to the manufacturs websites & download new drivers for them. It's easy & free. Doesn't take long either. Thats my 1 to 3 cents worth on this. Hope this fills you in a little bit more as far as hardware/software issues. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!!

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.
