Horse poop story

I know I am weird, but I love the smell of horse poops. Not cows or sheep, just horses. Anyway, a few years back, we had some friends coming from another state across the country planning on staying with us. They brought us a house gift. Here it is in the summer, hot and humid, they drove over 2000 miles with no air conditioner, and you know what the gift was, right? Yes, horse poops. Bags of soft poops in baggies. hehehhe. Well, I had the very best stawberries that year from that gift.
Do you have a cute story to share?

We had horses when we were younger. We used to collect dried horse poop frome the corral in buckets for amunition. Then we would go into the woods and have poop wars. Throwning them at each other, running in the woods, hiding behind trees and such. It was quite fun as I recall...lol

MOther Natures Perfume! My aunt would come to our house and check out the fridge to see what goodies my mother had baked. One day she came over and got in the fridge and my mother stopped her. My mother then got back at her by making a horse biscuit dessert. She put 3 or for horse biscuits in a dessert cup, covered it with chocolate and whipped cream, added a cherry and put it in the fridge. Well, my mom did stop her before she could actually eat it. But it was funny.

Talk about a friend, that surely was one. In addition to being good for strawberries, horsepoops are good for roses as well.

I love the smell of horses beginning to end. I was one kid that would willing muck out the stalls. I like to put it into the compost since there are so many weeds seeds that they sprout and then you have more things to compost. We too have a great garden since we had some horse manure delivered to us. lol Equine gold for the compost pile!

I'm glad I am not alone in this. My hubby thinks I am nuts. Well, he is a yankee city boy, that's why. Hehhe.

Round here its common to see people rushing out into the street with a bucket and spade if a horse has been past so that the manure can go on the rhubarb in the back garden. Its valuable stuff horse manure and not to be discarded when it can be put to such good use!

I do not have any stories like this to share but I know that I do not like the smell of any type of poop, whether it is a horse or any other type of animal. I do love horses and the smell of horses but nothing that comes out of them. That is a strange interest and gift that you received. I would not ask or want something like that for a gift.

Oh wow Margie, you do sound weird that you love the smell of horse manure, they certainly are great for our garden and growing different veggies and I have used this many times and it is great for fertilizing and you can really see the improvement when you grow your own.

What the hell and what did you do with it?Anyways i don't wanna know.lol.
yeah my sister once asked me to go with her to the mall cuz she had to buy some stuff for her.She usually does her monthly shopping there.btw i love shopping with her.All of sudden she walks in to this watch store and i really had no clue why she went there. She then asked me to choose a watch that i liked and i did so.
Finally she gave it to me singing "HAppy Birthday to you....".That was so cute.I embarrassed though.
It wasn't my birthday then.It was a month past my birthday.Anyways i love that sports watch and its the coolest gift i've ever received.

I know what you mean. It's the smell of the stables... the straw... it's kind of like a pure scent.

Blimey Marge you are the one .. your poor friends must have been totally pooped out (pun intended) with all that malodorous stink for hundreds of miles .. they really must like you A LOT !!
I can't think of anything 'disgusting' that I like the smell of .. although I do have a thing for really stinky cheese ... heheh !!

Wow. I am feeling so deprived about now. I do not have friends who bring me poop. To think, I thought I had good friends. Ha! I actually was raised in teh city and you can sure tell it. I do not like the smell of horse poop. Now I do adore horses and riding them, petting them, feeding them...but not smelling their poop! I guess the weirdest thing I like to smell is puppy breath! I have noticed on every puppy I have ever been around, their breath smells the same...and I find it such a pleasant smell! Yeah, see, I'm weird too!

But as I read the results of the post, I see you are not alone..this is so new to me. I guess I am in some kind of shock...lol But I guess, each to their own. I have family that have large pulling horses...which makes for some very large horse poop..if ya would like some..lol Thanks for sharing with us, this is too funny. I needed a good laugh today, thanks again. Oh and I bet those strawberries were good, mmm mmm mmm, I love strawberries.
