Lysol Carry Along?

This is unbelievable. I have never experienced this in all my 52 years of life. I was at a Bingo Hall Thursday evening. As I am eating my snacks a woman comes from the bathroom which is only 10 feet from me. She says loudly to her friends, “Whew, thank God I brought my air freshener.” She then reached into her bag of Bingo Daubers etc and pulled out a full sized can of Lysol disinfectant. She then proceeded to the bathroom to freshen the air before she evidently stunk it up. Now I wonder why she carries this Lysol around with her. I wonder if she doesn’t expect a public restroom to stink. I really wonder what it’s like visiting at her house. As you get up heading to the bathroom does she hand her guests a can of Lysol saying, “Here please spray the bathroom when you’re done please.” This was so unreal I had to relate it here tonight. I laughed so hard for a good 10 minutes after this happened. I hope to never see such a display like hers ever again. Have you ever seen such a thing happen in a public place such as a Bingo Hall etc? What were/are your feelings about this? Does this woman have a problem or what? Do tell. Hahahaha!! Thanks in advance for any and all responses. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi Grandpa Bob. I have to say the womans behavior is a bit odd, I have sprayed after using public bathrooms, all to little avail. Because of bowel problems I could knock 6 buzzards off a honey wagon at 100 feet, and that is the gods truth. I hate it when I have to use a public restroom, because of the comments and stares, it is very embarrassing and I feel terrible, but My bowel problem can and does hit at the most inopportune time, So I do spray, I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find some thing that will work, so far we are batting 0. Usually it just ends up like floral smelling shut, I have even gotten the commercial stuff the hospitals use and it doesn't work either.

This is the first time ever hearing about something like that lady. lol I had to wait till I was able to see thru the tears from laughing so hard to type this. lol That lady definately has a problem. Betting her house is sterile and reeks of lysol. yuck! I like when my house smells lemony or of oranges after I clean but not sterile, know what I mean? Egads! I remember growing up in a house like that. My mom was so thorough in her cleaning that she actually follow my brother and I around with a rag and disinfectant to clean fingerprints off the walls, windows, woodwork, etc. Drove me nuts!! I can safely say that I'm not THAT clean. My house don't smell bad either. Just don't do the white glove test on my furniture. lol

I guess this woman has learned from experience huh Bob??? So much so that she carries her own deodorizer's along...most public bathroom are so stinky, I try to never use them unless I absolutely have to, they are just so disgusting most of the time...people dont treat public bathrooms the way they would their own bathroom at home...i bet it was funny to watch tho...lol

I would have gotten a kick out of watching your face during this pulic display...bet it was hilarious...what a great visual picture your portrayed! People do some of the strangest things. I have never witnessed this particular behavior. My Daad is an avid "bingo player" so I have been with him several times...what aninteresting experience that is....they are sooooooo serious about that "game". I realize that it is a game made to win money most of the time but I have seen some strange reactions in Bingo Parlors such as the woman at the end of the table with 20 bingo cards laid out in front of her with 2 dobbers going at the same time...what a skill! Anyway, thanks for the laugh!

That is funny. I can't believe someone would carry such a large can round with them. Maybe they should make mini ones for people like that. Her problem may be that she's extra clean.

Hahaha! That is just to funny! I keep a can of air freshener in the bathroom. If my boyfriend, my sister or her boyfriend go in, I tell them if they make a stinky, be sure to spray. But trust me, if you ever went after them you would know why! I dont think I would do that in public though.

I don't think it's so much about the stink but Lysol is killing all the germs. I appreciate that someone is doing that becuase I've been in some public bathrooms that look like no one had cleaned it is quite some time. Really I would never carry lysol with me myself but if I walked in and saw someone spraying a stall down with the stuff I would feel a whole lot better about using it. There are just so many germs there.

Biohazard Sign - Sign used to signify something as being biologically hazardous.
Oh man..... This sounds disgusting! I pity the poor person that has to use the bathroom next. Sure, among friends or family you might make reference to something like this but not out in the open! And as for carrying around disinfectant! Maybe this woman should wear a t-shirt clearly stating that she is a biohazard!

Those bingo halls can be wild places GB...a person never knows when they may encounter an odiferous nightmare...My immediate thought was ..I'd love to go through that purse to see what other emergency props she carries!!!! Then after a moments thought...I decided some things are better left unknown!!!!LOL But hey..maybe she heard about your problem earlier today and was just preparing for your situation!!! LOL

Wow!!! What a thing to carry in your purse, this is one for the records, I have never heard of this , she must really be stinky. I wonder what other wonderful things she carries with her. I was once at a wedding and I saw a lady take her tooth brush out of her purse and brush her teeth after the supper I found this to be very strange. I guess some people carry around every thing.

Wow, that is wild! I have seen people carry a can of small lysol to disinfect the toilet seat for sanitary reasons, but never because of odor! That is weird and I probably would have laughed too when I saw this. Thanks for sharing, I needed a good laugh!

Hi, I'm new and this is the first post I've read - ROFL! This is great! I have a similar type story. I used to work in a corporate office setting drawing house plans for a major home builder. All of us were packed in there like sardines as most of you well know. The spaces were somewhat divided into two desks per unit but the two on the other side of the pathway can see what's going on across the way - so basically four people are together. Anyway, one of the guys that no one was particularly crazy about used to pass gas all of the time. Apparently it was really horrible (wasn't there at the time). One of the workers even went to the boss - it was so bad. He was called in to talk to the boss, but to no avail. The guy who sat beside him never was afraid to speak his mind about anything, but this day, he silently took care of the problem. The culprit was up to his usual smelly work and his "cell-mate" simply turned around and grabbed the can of lysol he had brought with him that day and sprayed for a good time, in the direction of the culprit. No one said a word, the culprit didn't even turn around or say anything, but it was never a problem again!!! My friend did have to leave her seat and go to the break room to let out the howling laughter building up inside. I just wish I had been there!!!

Right after I posted this I was surfing and happened upon (really - I wasn't searching for this thing) and found something called a Breeza - an air purifying toilet seat. If you want to see what it's like and why it's so appropriate for this discussion, my site I was looking at tells me you can find them on Amazon. TOO FUNNY!

That is so funny, its smart too in some ways. She can disinfect the restroom before using it. I am sure there are times we have used a public bathroom and wished we had a can of lysol with us.

This is funny and yet a little strange... Doing it might be one thing, but announcing it is another! I wonder what void this fills for her? I have never heard of anyone doing this in my life! I know it takes all kinds to make a world!! Thanks once again for another fascinating post! :)

Well personally I try to avoid public restrooms at all costs, but of course I have to use them sometimes! And there are clean ones and not clean ones, but usually they all stink! It's a part of life! I cant believe she had a full size can, that is insane! Funny story though!!!
