Coffee Pods for Senseo - Wish they were cheaper!

We love our Senseo coffee maker. The pods for the machine are costly though. We limit ourselves to having it occasionally due to the cost. You get 10-15 pods for around $3.99. We have lucked out and found them at the local discount store for $1.75, but that is rare. I wish there was an alternative to the pods.

Yes I love my coffee maker, but this seems the problem when we have to buy the pods for the machine that they are always so expensive so we too have to limit ourselves like you do although sometimes they will have great specials at our local store I wish as well that they had an altertive method we could use instead.

Hmmm...I never would have thought that they would be that expensive. But, I guess it is just the demand and helpfulness of the product that makes it so expensive. Sorry that it is....hope you and others can find an alternative. :)

You could make your own and here is the site! http://www.epinions.com/content_3875643524 www.coffeewhiz.com www.CoffeeForLess.com Try these two for good prices on those pods. I think I would make my own, however that does void the warantee I think and that might now be worth it. Good luck my friend.

I am sorry that they are so expensive. A lot of things that people want are too expensive, and people just have to find an alternative. I wish that you could find a great alternative for a Senseo coffee maker. Good luck at finding the coffee pot that you need. Oh yah...I forgot just in cause that you want to know. Coffee pots are also good for brewing tea. Just put ice and water in it after it is done. It works great!! :D

It's the cost of the pods that makes the pod machines so expensive isn't it .. there are several discounted places online that sell in bulk .. but to make any real savings you'd need to buy several 50-100 packs at a time .. Have you tried buying different sized coffee pods .. they may workl out cheaper .. all you need is a little ring gadget thing that converts your machine to take all sizes .. Have you tried looking on Ebay .. there are several US based sellers .. and I can't believe how cheaply you can buy the Senseo machines in the US .. they are well over $100 here in the UK ... GRRR

We don't have one of those coffee makers. We do have a plunger. The coffee for that is a bit expensive, as my husband only likes Victoria, the most expensive. I have broken four plungers. They are made of such fragile glass. We had a coffee machine until mid last year. But one day, in the middle of making coffee, it had a heart attack, & started making vibrating noises. My Step son quickly moved away from it. Just as well. It exploded.

I have refused to try it, because of the cost. I will bet some enterprising myLot member already knows of a substitute or alternative. I will be watching to see. If you can find help anywhere, it will be here.
