Do you turn a blind eye?

I mean is this right to just ignore this: I am a dog and catlover, recently when I moved in this new place my neighbor at the end of the block have its big dog caged. What bothers me is that the cage is too small for the dog that in can only stand or sit. It cannot turn because the cage is almost size of his body...I pity the dog but I am just new in the neighborhood. Is it right that I call animal rescue for this?

Take photos if you, they can always be used for evidence. But I would definantly report it. That poor dog. Try and report it annonymously if you can.

Why don't to talk to your neighbour first? Perhaps you start to know them ,say something else at the beginning, then present your point sincerely. Chances are good that they will accept it. Good luck!

Thanks for your suggestion. I am still uncomfortable to talk with them as I am still a newbie here in our neighborhood. Eventually maybe i will approach them :)

I would be calling animal shelter. No animal needs to be treated this way. They should have enough room to run and play. The dog can not possibly be happy. This dog needs someone to help him/her and I would not hesitate to call the proper authirities and help the animal.

Yes, definetly call animal control and report it. They won't tell your neighbor that you snitched. Animal cruelty is a serious offense and the dog obviously does not deserve to live in such horrible conditions. The owners will be warned first, and if they don't comply they will be fined or jailed.
