Why don't batteries last for more than one use?
I took a trip around my backyard and found a dandelion, in half-bloom.
I took a photo of it.
I hooked up my camera to download it to my laptop...
Do you see it here?
Of course not!...

I went to a mall yesterday for a few things and while there I had the batteries replaced in two watches. For some reason, I have about five watches; all with flat batteries. You can see one of the watches in the photo.
It would...

For whatever reason, we tend to use a lot of AA batteries. The remotes take them, and they are used for other things, even in a couple of our clocks. There are a couple in our thermostat.
When they are "dead," I keep them instead...

So the clock on our mantelpiece is 10 minutes slow. I noticed it when I got home today. The batteries must be running out. Have to wait till tomorrow before we can get them replaced.
Til then….well, it’s just annoying me.
I can’t...

I am going to gush a bit here, so please do pardon me in advance. But as I have written about customer service here so many times before, there's one thing that is probably abundantly clear about me.
[b]Bad customer service is a...

Well, I wound up taking my wife to work this morning even though I offered for her to just take my truck. But she was concerned I'd be stranded.
I told her I had no plans to go anywhere.
In any event, I did manage to get her...

Are you trying to get away from using single-use products for the sake of our planet? I have been getting many of the same products but then I try to get refills and use the same original bottles. For instance, the hand soap...

This morning I've had breakfast, am having coffee, and I made a phone call to Chewy, who sent me an email that Angel's stuff arrived yesterday, but it didn't. The lady said they'd send another shipment out, and should the stuff I...

My Dad had sent a couple of watches for me over the years, but i don't use because it doesn't work. Until yesterday after paying our phone I went to the shop and had this watch repaired. It only needed some battery changes, the...

Most people probably think of a phone when you think of battery life. I was thinking of the batteries in my TV remote. Every time my TV tells me the batteries in my remote are low, I wait. I go for every second I can before I...

We lost our internet again yesterday. Duh. However, here we are again.
I’m sure we all use batteries of varying shapes and sizes. Remote controls and children’s toys are just two uses of single-use alkaline batteries.
In our...

I have such a love/hate relationship with batteries. So expensive but so giving. Found out some interesting facts about them recently. They can last for ten years if stored properly. But what is 'properly'? It's important to keep...

I have this one that I've used for calculating a lot of stuff. But yesterday it just ran out of batteries.
Though other people out there already use apps of calculator in their phone, i literally still have this one.
I wonder...

are you willing to poke at the object with a stick or pole?
Do you try to move the other object?
Does it depend on what rolled away?
How far would you go? By the way, if you can't see the object do you have a working...

I couldn't, however, use the headlamp as it ran out of batteries, and I didn't have any in the...

I really did, I got them. I am talking about my batteries. My hubby finally picked up my AAA batteries last night. Who would believe it would be such a chore to get them.
As soon as he got back from the store, I rushed to put...
