I always go for a walk each day ....at least one usually...

I wrote about the chooks and the Maremma dog at our friend’s place. She also has four Anglo-Nubian goats which have almost cleared out the blackberries from her smallholding. Anglo-Nubians are charactersed by the large, drooping...

As I was walking around the backyard, I managed to see a tree of wild blackberries. Most of the fruits are ripe now so I have decided to taste some. They are very sweet!
I can't help but see the nature's way of helping humans...

Today it definitely feels as if autumn is in the air here in Norfolk. It's damp and misty and it's all a bit dull and depressing. Even Ollie, my big floppy black and white fluff ball of a cat, who loves spending his days outside...

Around the village, I can find apple trees where I can pick windfalls, blackberries on bushes and elderberries. I do not do this after my ex mother in law did and ended up in hospital as she picked the wrong mushroom, but I used...

I do enjoy blackberries. I wasn't aware that they were so rich in vitamin a and high on the ORAC scale of antioxidants which raises power of human blood by about 25 percent.
As well as helping with memory loss, improving the...

I have mentioned along the way that I feed birds in my yard and enjoy all that activity. I also started taking pretty long fitness walks early each morning.
Now, I am not going to say that it was lack of gratitude on the part of...

I got to do some yard work when I came home from running errands with Mom today.
When I was a child, we had a short fence in our backyard, and along the other side of the fence grew blackberries. As kids we used to hop the...
