Yup, got a letter in the mail today saying that my recent mammogram "did not show any signs of breast cancer." (Yes, it was bold type in the letter.) My next one will be in two years.

new bowel cancer screening urged (UK)

In the news today, a new screening test is being urged for bowel cancer in the UK. As I understand it, research suggests that this is simple and very effective for detection and removal of pre-cancerous growths, detecting cancer...

Now that we have been told women should NOT be giving themselves self breast exams, wouldn't it be a good time for somebody to open a new "Palpations Plus" business, offering $10 breast exams and ....um...something for the +?...

When I was 19, my father had breast cancer and had to have a double mastectomy (I think I spelled that wrong). I learned that, when a father has breast cancer, their daughters have a 20% greater risk of contracting this disease....
